"This is a fantastic pub restaurant and hotel, firstly the staff and owners are fantastic great service always with a smile on thier faces, the pub is just so welcoming it's like sitting in your living room with friends,it's the most dog friendly place I've ever been to our Rosie loves it we just let her off her lead she just flops in front of the log fire and has a sleep then she goes and says hello to all the other people and dogs in there its brilliant, then their is the food which is simply outstanding every meal I've had and it's quite a few has been restaurant quality my highlight is the steak and ale pie all I can say is wow desserts are also fantastic and they cater very well for gluten free which is a godsend for my fiance, breakfast is very good plenty of fruit cereals juice tea coffee and a fantastic full English although their are also plent of other things to have on the menu you even get a sausage for your dog,the rooms are clean tidy could do with a bit of an update but the beds are comfortable and they are warm the hotel caters for walkers and they don't mind if you come in the pub with muddy boots, their is also a drying room and electric charge point and ample carparking, I cannot recommend the Bower house enough and can't wait for our next visit 11/10 Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5"

The Bowerhouse couldn’t do enough to accommodate my party of 6 (including 6 horses). Rooms great, food great, staff great. Thank you for a fab stay.

we had a fantastic hallowe’en evening sa 27., the fire fire and fireworks display was great, free eating outside, we had a nice meal inside. bier was great, staff very friendly. worth visiting if they are in the opposite. we were in banklands in eskdale green.

Had lunch here with my husband, meal was gorgeous, can honestly say best fish chips we've had for a long time, massive compliment that coming from my hubby who usually never eats the chips, staff were brill, very friendly and helpful, gardens are absolutely gorgeous, lovely spot

Me and my wife stayed here recently. Had a really good time. A one night break as we have children. The views were great and the people were better. Lovely little gem of a place in the best part of the lakes. Had 5 casks on when I visited. Tim Taylors was spot on. Had the Buttermilk chicken burger which came with homemade chips and was probably one the best burgers I've had in ages. Room was very comfortable with beautiful views of Muncaster fell. I imagine the garden in summer is a perfect place to sit of an evening. Will deffo be back. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
