"English below That was one of the most horrific experiences I 've had in a long time. The food was decent and the young waitress was nice too, but the older woman who partially served/managed, maybe the owner? She is extremely rude. We arrived a little late with my friend (9:15 p.m. and without another word she asked us “Cordon Bleu with fries?” I looked at her perplexed and she asked it again and I said no (I 'm lactose intolerant , then she reluctantly started naming other dishes that would go quickly but didn 't give us a menu. I noticed that the staff spoke Italian, so I started speaking to them in Italian. Later, the old waitress said cursing loudly to people she knew at a table (she might have been drunk , at which point the young waitress told her to stop because I, at the other table, could understand her. She replied that she didn 't care because where did she think she learned them? From the Italians, because they always curse” and she continued to curse. At this point I just wanted to leave so I asked for the bill, she came and asked, cash? I said no, by card, she replied “cash only” and I told her I pay by card. So she told me to come with her and she started mocking me for not having cash and said what would I do if she didn 't let me pay by card, that I should do the dishes and kept talking and laughing about me as I turned around and stopped answering her as I walked. It was my girlfriend 's birthday. We had a long good day and just wanted to eat something and go home. She ruined the day. If she is the owner, I hope this restaurant fails. At the point I just wanted to leave so I asked for the bill, she came and asked, cash? I said no with card, she answered only cash , and I told her, I am paying with card. So she told me to go with her and she started mocking me for not having cash and saying what would I do if she didn 't let me pay with card, that I should wash the dishes and kept talking and laughing at me while I turned around and stop answering her while leaving. It was my girlfriend 's birthday. We had a good long day and just wanted to eat something and go home. She ruined the day. If she 's the owner, I hope this restaurant fails."

We spent some days in Valais and were regular guests at the Bristol. Food was always outstanding (we tried meat, risotto, pasta and of course Pizza), service very friendly and atmosphere very family like. We will be back for sure.

There were 6 people, all food was cold. Service so-so..Ordered a bottle of Diolinoir, went to the bar after 10 minutes to ask, got the answer that we have to get it from the cellar first..Demanded the bill to pay and waited...the waitress has the cutlery dried.. View menu

The food was good, the service was good. The knives are blunt enough for children, so eating pizza becomes a public fight. Unfortunately, there is no children's menu and the portions for children, which were specially ordered as such, are completely oversized. This is only advantageous from a billing point of view.

I have unexpectedly had a weeks stay in Visp (hospitalised husband) and have tried a number of restaurants in the town. We tried this restaurant last night and it beats all other places we have tried for atmosphere (it was busy), the quality of the food (not just a pizzeria although they looked excellent but also a good range of Italian classic starters, pasta, risotto and Swiss/Italian main course dishes) and a good wine list (Swiss and Italian). The staff were really friendly and made is feel very welcome. Highly recommended- we will definitely be going back!
