"This restaurant was recommended to us"For a change"by the desk captain at our hotel. It has not been operating apparently for long and is in a generally modern area of development. It comes quite reasonably close to fine dining and although the menu was clearly...similar to many other restaurants, there were subtle ingredient changes and everything was beautifully prepared. It has a very large outdoor area and seems to attract mainly locals who start eating from about 8 PM. Wait staff made no attempt to upsell us to more expensive wines and a number including the house wine were very reasonable and very acceptable. Perhaps unfortunately the owner (who may have been a backup chef as well) ran the operation in a fairly Draconian fashion, putting a lot of pressure on his staff – which was unnecessary as they were both very good. On balance I guess he was trying to make the most of the restaurant in the eyes of his customers. I was completely happy with my meal; however my wife thought that one of the dishes (a risotto) did not match its description. That may have been true although the dish itself was excellent. When brought to the attention of management, it was discounted and we were given additional drinks in part compensation. Everyone tried to make the experience exceptional and I would certainly go back if there were reasons bringing me into that area – there is a fairly well-known market close by which may interest some people."

We were so impressed with this restaurant we went back three times during our visit. A really friendly welcome, superb service and probably the best food in Rome. I would highly recommend this restaurant

This place was recommended to us by folk in the local supermarket when we asked for somewhere to eat. We ate early in fact we were the only people there at opening time but were looked after very well and the food was...good.

we ate here on the recommendation of the nearby hotel where we lived. Although we chose some delicious pizzas, other entree choices looked pretty good. the ambiente in the outside seat area was very pleasant despite a late octave. even

we were a family group of twelve plus a baby in rom to celebrate a special birthday of my wife. In short, the hotel recommended our party to dinner and we were not disappointed. the owner organized a large table for us. in the center of the restaurant, so we were not even split up. the food was excellent and fresh and contributed to a great occasion for all of us. the personal could not do enough to feed and amuse our 5 grandchildren. definitiw a place to recommend for a family.

My wife and I ate here for lunch one day after walking by it many times in the past 2 weeks. We always noticed how busy it was for lunch. I had also noticed they have lunch specials for pizza and salads with water for...all under €10 each. I ordered the pizza Diavola and my wife ordered the pizza Cappricicosa. Both were very tasty with fresh cheese and vegetables. Service was quick and friendly. I am glad we stopped as it is not quite for tourists and most of the people eating much were locals. We are going to try it for dinner one time as their menu looks varied.

our hotel concierge recommended this place because we liked the restaurant l’orange so much. under a new name, apparently, and perhaps new administration. we had a wonderful dinner here. contemporary as l’orange, in the decoration and food presentation. my wife said her meal, the bark. with 3 pfeffer sauce, maybe the best meal she had in rom. my birne and cheese filled pasta pouches were also delightful and the Dolce desserts were a good end for our last day in rome. very attentive and helpful waitress, and the manager continued to review us, but not intrusive. expensive than l’orange, but not from the line with other Roman restaurants experience. we are inside because it was after sunset an...

We read about Bro in La Stampa, the Italian newspaper, and on our first day in Rome decided to give it a go. Tucked into a corner of Largo A. Toja, a few blocks from Trastevere, it has a modern look entrance and inside it...is contemporary decor. You can order a la carte or a set menu with antipasti from the table, including vitello tonnato, radicchio alla griglia con prosciutto, peperoni arrosto and bufala e pachino. One of us had the antipasti, which were very good. The other had eggplant parmigiana and gamberoni in pastella (battered tiger prawns). The other mains were polletto arosto (baby chicken) con bietole e peperoncino con patate sauté and maltagliati al pesto. To finish we shared a...
