"The Brunel sandwich shop is on The Strand directly opposite the High Court. It's ok, a very small shop that makes food to order, my favourite is chicken escalopes with salad. Staff are friendly but coffee is pretty ropey and there's not a massive choice. Prices are reasonable to be fair. Tony's Tips. You can never get a till receipt Just across the road are public toilets."

You walk into the shop and see a wide selection of gourmet food that may land on your crispy ciabatta in whatever combination you like. My Recommendation: The Chicken Deluxe Sandwich

This is an excellent spot in a fantastic location to enjoy a delicious deli sandwich. The staff is incredibly friendly and clearly understand how to run a successful business. The prices are very reasonable for a central London establishment. View menu

My place of work uses this little sandwich shop all the time! Michael caters to all our needs. We use them for our conference and meetings. When I go in there for my lunch I am very picky and Michael always delivers to my need. Quick service and friendly staff

Divine freshly made sandwiches as you wait. Small cafe and very popular at lunch time! I can see why I tried a turkey and Brie toasted option and it was divine!! Well worth the £4.20! Friendly staff and service was quick! Would def recommend def go back again.

Visit to London. This lovely little sandwich shop 500 yards from our hotel. Service from the owners very friendly. Food lovely and all reasonably priced especially given its location. Please spend your money at this place instead of the 100's of Pret de Mangers. View menu

While taking a stroll in central London, we stumbled upon this shop. We purchased some coffee for take-out, which was delicious and very affordable compared to the nearby chain coffee shops. The staff was friendly, and I would definitely return to grab a coffee and sandwich to go (as there is no seating available).

We use this deli on an almost daily basis for large, very large and sometimes small lunch orders. Everything is fresh and beautifully prepared. I also buy my own lunch there and Michael and his staff do a great job, there is a great variety and the queue often spilling into the street is a good idea of what people think of this gem of a deli. Great Coffee too

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
