"Okay, so, the food here is okay, but when looking at the menu, trying to calculate the cost of our meal, just to ensure that we were able to afford the meal out of our budget, we assumed we would be okay. £14 doesn't sound too unreasonable for what we ordered, so we thought it would be okay. We get our food, and it's quite nice. I did get quite uncomfortable at the amount of time the chef was staring at us while we were there, but maybe they just wanted to be friendly. Though, there was a whole lot of giggling and talking in a foreign language. Though it's fine to speak in foreign languages, it would be appreciated if it was not just after staring at me, followed by laughing. So, when it comes to paying, like I said, our meal was to be no more than £14. The man ringing us up then takes almost 5 minutes putting in numbers then restarting because he kept making mistakes. The total then came to just over £18. Quite a ripoff considering the menu shows different prices. It seems they don't just make customers feel somewhat like a joke, but also rip you off with random prices they pull out of thin air. I will not be returning."

The worst breakfast I’ve ever had, eggs were over cooked fried slice tasted like the oil hasn’t been changed in the fryer for years. Unfortunately will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone

I have visited this restaurant before and recently noticed a discrepancy in prices between the menu and what I was charged at the register. When I inquired about it, I was informed that the menus were 5 years out of date. Perhaps trading standards should be notified about this issue.

I've eaten here quite a few times recently and I have enjoyed my food on every visit. There's plenty of choice and reasonably priced. The staff have always been friendly and the place is always clean. I love the omelettes, light and fluffy with plenty of filling, I chose ham and cheese with an amazing fresh salad. I'd also recommend the Cumberland Breakfast which I had on a previous visit.

Been going to this cafe on a regular basis for a while now Started to realise that we was getting over charged £3/4 each time. When we questioned it the owner was very rude and acted like we was stupid. Cheap and nasty produce with a rude service anyway. no one needs that, especially when you’ve been a regular customer. Only went there as It’s the only cafe in Biggleswade that sells a fry up. Never again.

Me and my partner went there today to have some lunch. As we went to order the rude waiter tried to make me order more food by saying I’m too skinny and should eat more???!! Unbelievably rude and insensitive. This made me upset and we left the cafe. How are you insulting customers who put money in your pockets. Won’t be visiting again and according to other reviews the rude behavior from staff is nothing new. Would rather support other local business. Ended up going to Beegees just a few minutes away where the customer service was lovely unlike cafe 8. Avoid avoid avoid!!

We had never dined out in Biggleswade before and stumbled upon this restaurant for lunch. The person who greeted us attempted to be funny with his banter, but ended up insulting my partner. Despite his apologies, we decided to walk out before completing our order. Customer service 101: never insult your customers, who are vital to your business. Additionally, it would be wise to update your menus instead of informing customers of price increases due to rising costs. I would not suggest dining at this establishment. Consider trying Cafe Mocha or another restaurant instead.

We had previously visited this restaurant for a quick, affordable lunch and found it to be just okay, nothing exceptional. Curious about how they managed to offer such cheap prices, we decided to return for a second visit. After checking TripAdvisor reviews, we noticed several people complaining about being overcharged. When we totaled our bill for two baguettes, one order of chips, and two cans of coke, we found it to be £9.50. However, when my partner went to pay, the owner tried to charge us £17. The owner even attempted to overcharge on items like cans of coke. Needless to say, we will not be coming back and suggest that you double check your bill before paying if you plan on dining here...

The man who usually greets customers and takes their orders has a cheeky sense of humour. I find this part of the charm of this café. If, however you do not have a sense of humour yourself, you may struggle with this establishment. You may also struggle if you are of a fragile disposition or possess an inflated sense of uniqueness, or an unwarranted sense of entitlement, or are overly emotional, easily offended, and unable to deal with opposing opinions. Not all the staff here are confident English speakers. Persons of a contemptible disposition may confuse a lack of verbal interaction with rudeness. it isn’t rudeness, it is just someone whose mother tongue isn’t English doing their best. Th...
