"Visited for lunch with a friend, which after a long wait was worth it, albeit a little pricey, but still worth it. Unfortunately the waiting staff made us feel very unwelcome. My spoken German is good (and always incredibly polite, just to be safe and...I've worked over here for some time now, but my slight accent and younger appearance seemed to be enough to warrant frowns, sighs and outright difficult behaviour towards my friend. After our meal, we crossed over the road to the cafe Marshall's Mum', where we had the nicest coffee and cake from some lovely staff. Results. Such a shame about here though. There are lots of other great places to eat in Leipzig, many nearby, where the food is just as good and the staff are really lovely. But not here. Sorry guys. Despite the great food, we really wouldn't recommend it and won't visit again."

We were looking for a simple, tasty lunch on a hot day. By accident, we found Café Grundmann on a way. The tables outside looked inviting. Food was nice, interesting and tasty. A Summerspaghetti, lamb and fennel salad all tasty. Good coffee.

an article with the creamy Lebanese spread of labna is called tel Aviv dishes on the menu. labna or labneh can sometimes refer to yoghurt in Arab countries, but it is mostly linked to libanon. I cannot support a device that does not understand. simple geography. (november

Relaxing and friendly near the heart of Leipzig, Cafe Grundmann is a real treat. The warm Apfelstrudle was delicious, although the hot chocolate was over-sweet this was easily rectified with a jug of hot water brought with a smile by the friendly staff. Friends chose...a range of delicious cakes and deserts, coffees and other satisfying hot beverages.

The raspberry cake is as good as it was yrs ago. We tried boysenberry today which was also excellent. The small minus was they weren't able to serve our coffees on ice cubes only am iced coffee (hete with vanilla ice cream) wad available...at degrees. What a pity. We asked to clean the table again and we're told it had just been cleaned. Well the the silver tables outside all looked stripy we realised.

We decided to give it a try on a Sunday for brunch. It was the right decision! The place is located on one of the nicest streets in Leipzig. The style of the restaurant is quite nice. The service is good and they are quite...frustrating friendly. Though it is not a buffet (as almost any other brunch) the food is really good. The eggs were perfect the fruit was fresh and the coffee is also quite good. A really nice place for a breakfast brunch!

The place looks very cozy and the selection of breakfast/brunch menus is quite good. As I came in the place was quite busy, with several German families occupying almost all the tables, and making it seem like a Swedish typical fikka place. You probably will...be quite satisfied to come here if you want a good big breakfast or brunch to start your Sunday. One little minus is the waitresses, who were a bit stressed and not as cordial as one whished, but nothing too strong, more in the direction of cold than impolite. However this, together with the waiting time due to how filled the place was, stopped me from fully enjoying the atmosphere, and that's why I cannot give full points.
