"In France the main meal of the day, of course, tends to be lunch. In rural France, it can be difficult to find a café that is open from early in the morning until late evening but this café/bar provides an excellent, no frills, service to the locals and to the tourists alike. We stayed in a nearby gite and visited Café le Musee on several occasions and ate there three times; the standard didn't vary and each time the service was excellent. The menu is typically limited to two or three choices but we enjoyed every meal and although the English family team who run this business make it very clear that they provide freshly prepared, good quality but simple food, they do it very well indeed and at a very reasonable price! We thoroughly enjoyed our visits to Café Le Musee and the delightful village of Parçay-Les-Pins."

We have a gite in La Pellerine (about 4 miles from Cafe Le Musee) and regularly visit for lunch - which is excellent value for money €13 for starter / main / desert or cheese / coffee / wine.Darren

Stopped by here for lunch, right next door to the Jules Desbois Museum of Sculpture .Very pleasant staff and decent 3 courses with wine and coffee included for €13 . Wifi , Air Conditioning and nice outside seating in this very sleepy village make it worth the trip.

New owners Darren and Louise Miller who are Englisha and who have lived in France for over 12 years have made the Bar into a very welcome place. Good beer and good size meals are always welcome. With a good mix of both French and British customers it makes for a great atmosphere.

We visited Cafe Le Muess daily during our week long stay in the area, some days we visited twice. Luis and her husband Darrin were charming and welcoming. We enjoyed coffee and wifi with the pastries from the local boulangerie every morning. We also had dinner there one evening, fish

View menu

A well-run café/bar with pleasant and attentive service. There is a friendly atmosphere and the café is spotlessly clean We enjoyed menu of the day, which was excellent. Plenty of tables and chairs outside to have a drink and watch the world go by, or refresh yourself after a visit to the Museum dedicated to the sculptor Jules Desbois, who was born in the village too. The house where he lived is just opposite. An excellent place to stop, even if you are not staying in Parcay Les Pins. One of the few villages still to have a cafe/bar, well-stocked grocery shop and a baker.

As we look a break to amble around Parcay Les Pins ( we stayed in a gite nearby) we took the opportunity to have lunch in the local cafe. We were made welcome by the English owners and ordered the rapid menu. We were warned it may not be quick as they had two large tables booked for lunch but we were in no hurry.Drinks were served quickly. There were a mixture of English and French customers and our meal was served in no time despite the warning. Our meal was large and delicious. No room for dessert but coffee was also good.€20 for two. Bargin. We will be back for dinner .3 courses including wine for €17. Better than some of the busy towns we have been through. Thank you so much.
