"I was at this café with a friend of mine who lives in Kassel. My friend mentioned this is one of the better cafes in Kassel. It is a wunderbar café. I do agree it is an excellent café. I tired the Grune susse. This is a speciality of Kassel. It comes with potatoes, hard boiled eggs and a cream sauce. The sauce looked like yogurt with green things in it but it is very good. I could not describe the flavor but it looked like it had green onions, yogurt and parsley in it.The cakes at this café are out of this world. I ordered cheesecake and it tasted almost like the cheesecake my mom used to make - with dried cottage cheese. The café is open for breakfast, lunch and for coffee time. If you have cake you order your cake and the server brings you the cake and coffee. There is outdoor seating. The service is very good."

Good place to have breakfast or lunch. We went there several times as it looked the best place in Kassel or at least around the Friederichsplasse. No fresh orange juice with the breakfast but I wouldn't where else I'd find it around this place. Inside.. View menu

Cafe Nenninger is right in the middle of town and a wonderful place for a well-prepared lunch (try the Salatteller Herkules) or coffee and pastries. Outdoor seating is available. Service can be a little slow during busy times, but the overall dining experience makes up for it. Recommended. View menu

The cake here is what you can typically find in any Germany bakery. The atmosphere is a bit tacky and the location is bit tucked away. We also didn't find the staff particularly welcoming. Instead, I would recommend Cafe Lange, while not in the city center, the quality, service and atmosphere are much better.

I was recommended this place by a friend who was living in Kassek for work - and my husband and I made this our stopping point for our three day trek through documenta. They have some great things at Nenninger - rice and vegetables or quiche-style dishes. I never tried the less healthy looking boiled eggs with steamed potatoes covered in mayonaisse but it actually looked quite good. The coffee is as you would expect so if you want milk as for a cappuccino (very frothy but not terrible). And don't be fooled by the size of the incredible cakes - you CAN eat a whole slice! They are super light and delicious - I couldn't move past the giant meringue sponge with red currants but my husband was mo...

"Today, for the first time, I had the feeling that I would visit this cool place more often. The outdoor advertising has made me aware of it and gave me an impression of the shop. On the one side of the fairy stood in large letters: TOASTS incredibly nice SALATE fresh crisp FRITTEN crispy tasty That was exactly what I needed at that time! The interior of the shop is simple but modern. Pictures of food hang on the walls and make an appetite while waiting. Service and service are very friendly and recommended to me the changing monthly offer. The Toasts are really the top league. I didn't expect much at first, because what should go big tastefully between 2 slices of toasts? But I was overarched more than hard when I bite into the Ahle Worscht Toast. The regional ingredient Ahle Worscht long-ripening air-dried long-lasting sausage from North Hesse with its strong aroma is accompanied by a fresh mix of shepherd and fresh cheese, dried tomatoes and zucchini. A really thoughtful creation! In the end, I ordered 3 of the toasts to take along to show them to my husband; my girlfriend had a great Power Bowl salad and was completely out of the house! :D Her words were: I have never eaten such a fresh big salad in Kassel. You taste that they're trying! The really big salad was at 8.99 and there was a garlic bread. More than justified. All in all, the Simply Toast shop has a great value for money. Changing week offers and a happy hour at noon make it all the more attractive. Excellent quality and the variety of homemade products make it a secret tip for me : Since I like to share photos of my food on instagram, I created a story of course immediately, because if you are on site you get the dishes served in a sweet practical basket. Surprisingly, my image has been seen in the instagram account of the store in a few minutes and has been given a brittle spell. Generally, I have to say that the social media or website is really worth a click! There are really tasty pictures: posted with funny texts and you will learn about the weekly special offers. Let's just go well :D :"
