"I m from Reggio , but i ve been living many years in London and I can proudly say that finally in my home town there is a wonderful place where to go to enjoy a good drink , whether you are after a cocktail , a glass of wine or spirits....I have to say that Gianfranco, head barman, apart from being an exquisite person, can rival many bartenders here in London and his Whisky Sour competes (if not beat... the ones that I had at Salvatore Calabrese"s new venture at Playboy Club Salvatore's Bar. The good thing is that you can go to this place anytime during the day as the highest quality product are there to cater for lunch or breakfast..... My favorite though is the aperitif , as it can be a fun substitute to dinner as it is filling, but it also satisfies all taste buds cause of the huge variety and quality of finger food! A must when you visit Reggio Calabria!!!"

My husband and I went 2 separate times before having dinner. Even with our limited Italian, the staff managed to make us feel welcome. We love the aperol spritz the barman made for us, and the finger food was good too. We will surely come back.

Best espresso in Calabria, best eggplant parmesan, very nice owner/staff, a wonderful quiet respite in a busy city. I had been walking in the hot sun for over an hour and had the most refreshing Prosecco, with which they served gratis a generous bowl of olives and a bowl of pistachios. Lovely!

arrived at the end of the noon service, we were able to snack a few dishes arranged in a window at the counter ( servings, in tapas format), and it was good. the staff, very nice and welcoming, was waiting for us after a reservation made by cross-country premises on the street and who saw us in a galery at that moment. really a good experience.

We had espresso and a very chewy chocolate croissant on an early afternoon. We stayed for aperitivo; had a glass of campari-soda water and a glass of prosseco. The aperitivo came with a generous portion of deep fried goodness: cheeseballs, cheese stuffed bread, zeppole with achovies; bite-size sandwiches, pizzas, crostini; and a plate of stuffed olives. Service was perfect. The ambiance was great.

We had just arrived on the ferry from Messina and walked the entire Corso Garibaldi trying to find a decent bar for aperativos. We figured that because Corso Garibaldi is all shopping, that we needed to go where the office workers would be found and that is how we found Cafe Noir in the next street up the hill. Great atmosphere, their Spritz well mixed and is obviously very popular with the locals, very friendly and great snacks included in the €7 drink price. Just what we wanted.

Reggio Calabria is the Stretto di Messina and its sunsets, the Bronzi di Riace , the promenade close to de sea and the and the cocktails at Café Noir. Who don 't taste the cocktail of the barman Gianfranco and the Aperitivo with tapas at Noir, probably loses a piece of this city. High quality, impeccable service and elegant surroundings. All tourists should at least once have dinner with an aperitif at Noir trying the typical Calabria 's tapas, accompanied by an excellent cocktail martini, or a glass of the best wines selected by the owner for its customers.

"Always a pleasant confirmation. An intimate, almost minimal place. The fish is excellent and excellently processed. The wine list is discreet. In any case, yes. Prices appropriate to the quality Update August 2021. Perhaps the management has changed ... the music has certainly changed. The restaurant has expanded with tables located in the street facing the restaurant. make up the dishes. An hour and a quarter of waiting for the appetizer, not up to the delicacies of previous years. Two tasteless arancini, one with cuttlefish ink the other anemic and lightly soiled with fish, rotisserie style. dry and inexplicably sprinkled with balsamic glaze ... why? In my opinion it does not deserve the 37 euros requested. After another hour of waiting, the seconds arrive. Frying soggy and not inviting. We are offered a fillet of amberjack good to say the waitress perfect for two people. We make the mistake of not asking for the weight and at the time of the bill we find ourselves € 70 of amberjack perhaps perfect for 4 not for 2 I count 160 euros in two I'm not making it a question of money but of quality. The ancient glories seem faded I hope it will return to being the boat and bristles that I remembered with pleasure Original Sempre una piacevole conferma. Locale intimo, quasi minimale.
