"we are regular customers of cafe rouge but we experienced an absolutely terrible meal tonight, on the last day of our holiday (on vatertag) in woburn centre parcs. first, in the arrival we were presented with a slip of paper, in which we have a significant amount of straightened from the menu steak, confit ente, framed spinat, scallopisses, b secondly, all “fresh” objects that we have ordered (e.g. chalk; lemon content) were very old and devastated, long been sitting in the air and the carrot sticks were not even peeled. Thirdly, our main courts were terrible. I had to give back my whistles, because they were very overcooked, and I feared that they were also old, they grieved and had a powdery resistance. my wife ordered rinderbourguignon, who looked and tasted like she could have been sitting around for a long time. I couldn't even begin to choose another option to replace my whistles, as the terrible foods and items are missing from the menu, so I went without a main course. Fourth, all the dives that were served (manonnaise; calamari dipping sauce) were hurried over the sides of the dishes in which they were served. the whole experience was terrible. Given the competition of other restaurants in woburn center parcs (which are absolutely excellent), I fear that the caffe rouge may not be able to compete."

We recently visited Cafe Rouge at Center Parcs Woburn for an afternoon drink. We were warmly welcomed by Manny and found the staff to be very helpful and friendly.

Waitress was amazing and ran the whole place. Sadly the food was very sad. . Chicken liver pate was watery and yuck. King prawns were ok but not enough chilli. Sirloin steak was too chewy and mussels were ok but broken and bashed about. We...didn’t bother waiting for a dessert.

Stopped in for a drink in the sunshine whilst waiting for the kids in the pool Excellent service Good olives and flat bread (didn’t eat from the main menu) Aperol spritz needed a bit of a stir but apart from that all good Complimentary cocktail...for my wife as it was her birthday as well which was a lovely touch View menu

The burgers were dry and overly salty, the fries were soggy and unappetizing. The 10oz steak was tough and flavorless, not fit for even a dog to eat. This was by far the worst dining experience I have ever had, and I will never step foot in this terrible restaurant again. I urge the owners to make drastic changes or risk losing customers. This felt like a complete rip-off.

The female manager was very rude when we tried to change our reservation time. We were delayed by an hour and it turns out they were not very busy at all. The calamari was small and overly salty, the steak was small, bland, and of poor quality. The mussel sauce was thin and tasted like garlic water. The burger was decent, but the bun was chewy and not cooked properly. Overall, not worth it and we will not be returning for dinner or a main meal.

Food was not good, French onion soup was cold, I had beef bourguignon, 4 pieces of meat in it but 27 slices of carrot, I had mine served with fries instead of mash as I have to be careful with certain types of food. I...complained about the lack of meat and did get new portion but that had mash. Two others had chicken that was warm at best. One person who has pate thought it was watery and has since suffered food poisoning! When we asked for the bill for six of us it was £263 with a lot more than six meals on it, was wrong table, our bill was £139 after the deposit. Cancelled another booking we had there as it was so poor. View menu

We ate at Cafe Rouge several times during our Centerparcs stay and found the staff to be consistently fabulous around my daughter's peanut allergy. They were endlessly helpful, and when she was unable to eat fries from the fryer, they oven cooked them for her...so she wasn't disappointed. Cafe Rouge saved the day, enabling her to have a treat after a disappointing experience at Las Iguanos. I would definitely recommend Cafe Rouge at Woburn Centerparcs to anyone who has peanut allergy. I would like to say a particular thank you to Emma and Danielle, but we also had other wonderful waitresses whose names I wish I could remember. Even short staffed, they were always ready to help.

Attempted to get breakfast at 10am. Restaurant pretty empty three tables full out of about 40. Was asked ‘have you got a booking?’ Answer was no. We just felt like having breakfast. ‘Sorry we are only serving bookings because of delivery problems’. Extraordinary. So...we went online and in 23 minutes’ time there are 15 slots available for ‘booking’. This is absolutely crazy. The truth of the matter is there are two staff serving and they have absolutely no incentive to encourage trade. They’re paid the same if they are busy or quiet. So they are unable to do anything at all but if you waited 23 minutes and booked online you could have your pick of 15 empty tables. This is utter madness. Cent...

"Reminiscing about the great time we had at this place last night! We spent the weekend in Bedford visiting relatives and decided to book this place, because we’re big pizza fiends and the reviews meant it made sense! Have not stopped thinking about the food all day! If you’re lucky enough to know what a proper Neapolitan pizza tastes like and have been chasing the dream of tasting it again… look no further! If you haven’t been to Naples before, then this place takes you there and back in one evening! This is hands down the best pizza outside of Naples! In fact I would go as far as to say that it could easily hold its own amongst the 100s of pizzerias in its birth City! The restaurant itself is casually quirky… named after the owner’s mother, with photos to couple that offer a little glimpse into the owners background with Italian memorabilia for days… including a real vesper hanging on a shelf from the ceiling, you’re hit with the scent of the wood fired oven as soon as you walk through the doors letting you know instantly that you’re in for a treat… the real deal! The relaxed, but upbeat vibe coupled with the warm and attentive welcome and service from the owner and the staff meant it was only fair to start with a round of Aperol Spritzes, which was followed by a number of bottles of delicious Primitivo throughout the meal that ultimately led to some singing and dancing at the end of our meal! We allowed the owner to recommend lots of things off the menu to share and boy did he not disappoint! Everything from pizzas, to pizza rolls to bruschetta meant that we were all able to try the classic Neapolitan pizza base with various different flavours! Highly recommend trying the Pizza Tartufo if you like truffle! I’m Italian and visit Naples most years and the pizza base is up there with the best I’ve tried! Hats off to the pizzaiolas as mastering this culinary delight is not easy! The pork meatballs in tomato sauce and oven roasted cracked pepper and salty ribs were delicious! But aside from the extremely high quality of the pizzas it was a bowl full of cheese and charcuterie that stole the show! Imagine a huge ball of creamy burrata that when cut open released loads of tiny balls of morzarella! It was truly next level! I have never seen or tasted anything quite like it! We finished with a round of espressos and some traditional Italian pastries, which were out of this world! We had such a lovely evening from the food to the wine, service to the vibe it really was exceptional! The only thing I wasn’t happy about was leaving, knowing that this restaurant isn’t on my doorstep! The only saving grace is the avoided damage it would do to my waistline if it was, as I would be here every weekend! Cannot wait to go back!"
