Stunning decor! The upper floor is even more amazing with fresh breezes and great views of the river and Canary Wharf. The food and desserts we had were delightful. We had a good time.

Ace place. decent pub gardens right next to the Thames, charming to sit while the sun shines. Fantastic inside with lots of wood and different levels. Had a delicious pair of pints from Samuel Smiths Cask Ale very recommended.. A big pub.

One of the biggest pubs I've ever been. Amazing atmosphere of the old classic British pub. Very interesting story of this pub. It's not far from where the famous Captain Kidd was hanged. The pub is also close to the Execution dock, where pirates were hanging. Inside you will find many interesting information about Pub and Captain Kidd. The interior is very classic and beautiful. And the best is the view of the Thame River. I will definitely return in summer to enjoy the Riverside garden.

There are some amazing riverside pubs along the north bank of the Thames between Limehouse and Wapping. This, in my opinion, has the perfect balance of a large, dark wood, nautically-themed interior with a large outdoor terrace. Steeped in history, this building is a gem. On a very hot August afternoon, we got to sit in the beautiful bay window with a lovely breeze blowing over us. The only downside, as an ale drinker, is that it’s owned by Samuel Smith. The only offering that I enjoy is their wheat beer. Other than that the staff are friendly and there is a nice mix of visitors and locals.

The Captain Kidd sits on a quiet paved street and is just a short two-minute walk from the Wapping upper floor station. From the outside you would hardly know that there is a pub here, unless you see the pub sign above the entrance. When you enter, go through a small courtyard and then through the pub listed in this Grade II. This pub used to be an old coffee store and was converted to the pub in the 80s when the area was transformed into the pub under a time of redesign.
