"Casa Morita is a lovely home from home with lovely, huge, comforting, authentic Mexican dishes and cocktails with sweet, friendly staff in a casual atmosphere. Casual may be slightly euphemistic, especially in the winter when it 's market set up means the tiny space is swept by gale force winds whenever the door opens. In the incredulous words of my dad: 'This isn 't a **** restaurant! ' But this is minor given the quality, quantity and value of everything else. Order the homemade guacamole with homemade tortilla chips to start with, then the pulled pork or prawns with rice all fab. Refried beans, chilli chocolate cake and selection of tequilas also great. This place had a very uninteresting and small menu. There were very few options on it. I ordered chicken enchiladas and some prawns. It was quite good. The foo in general was decent, however the place was very unimpressive and small. The service too was very average. I will go back though, for the food.

I recently visited this place and was quite disappointed with the overall experience. The food was substandard but the price charged for it were quite more than what it deserved. I was quite disappointed with the echiladas. The service was pretty quick but the staff was not that attentive. I would not like to visit this place again.

The place has a reputation of serving authentic mexican cuisine. Ordered enchiladas with cheese topping. The food tasted good, however, the presentation was disappointing and the portion size really small. Infact the price is high as well. Though honestly i have not had mexican food a lot to outright discard the place but this is my first impression ! View menu

as I have already said, the most passing place for new restaurants in and so with a free Friday evening before us the fashionista and I decided to round some of the new offers to see if they fit together with some of the more established places. only after seven at brixton in brixton market row (over the street of brixton village right.) we came to this place around 7 and it had already jumped.

the place is rough and ready to be in the middle of brixton, they can think in that they are in the outland. the pork and vegetarian tacos had great simple aromen with beautiful soft tortillas. the portions are very small, so it is worth ordering a mix. the guacamole was fresh with a beautiful amount of limette juice and a good kick made by chili. the place is family run, with a great atmosphere and great service.

I've been recommended this place by a Mexican friend because apparently it serves the most authentic Mexican food in South London. It also sells Mexican products which are displayed along the walls. Try the Valentina chilli sauces, they are addictive! I had a taco meal which consists of 4 tacos, rice and salad. I picked the chorizo, chicken and pork tacos. They were nice but at times, too meaty (if that could be a bad thing). Would have been nice to have some veg in there. Good selection of drinks. View menu

the large part of the relatiw short menu in casa morita consists of tacos that can be drawn into burritos, and sandwiches called tortas. The latter are rarely seen here, but were a common sight on the roads of the southern mexico – during my last trip there were as many Torta stands as there were Taco stands. the rolls used in all the tortas I had in mexiko were very flat, neutral things that made it all easier to appreciate the simple yet tasteful fillings. casa Morita’s ‘super’ torta didn’t quite understand it.

I've been blogging a lot about Brixton Village lately, and I appreciate some of you may find this tiresome. With that in mind, I decided to branch out a bit, which is why this post features Casa Morita on Brixton Market Row. Yes, I know it's still Brixton, but it isn't Brixton Village! Now, I know sod all about real Mexican food, so I have no idea if this is like the stuff one would sample in the mother country. But I do know what I like, and I very much like Casa Morita's Huevos Rancheros w/chorizo £8) . After all, what's not to like about two fried eggs, tortillas, tomato chilli salsa, and refried beans topped with crumbled chorizo? It might have looked messy, but believe you me...read mo...
