Good atmosphere and service aside the Grutas das Maravilhas. We shared alcachofas salteadas as a starter, and followed with esparragos verdes with jabugo and lomo de cerdo iberico. Wr added half portion of cheese, beer, bread, olives and coffees. Total paid €67,80 for two. Not cheap but acceptable.

We ate well, that's undeniable, but as I put in the title it was a little expensive, especially the san jacobo that offers nothing of the other world and the dish of ham that is good but they are of the wing and hardly gives for a lonchita per person. The desserts are very good indeed and all the staff is very professional.

They agreed to take care of us without reservation, with the condition of leaving the table at one hour certain thing that we thanked, but the pressure from the first minute went beyond the necessary one. the food was definitely great, the product of the area and fresh, but the price we found it high. Llevar toda una vida en un negocio hace que haya poco margen para lo errores. Esto es lo que pasa en este lugar, quizás no hay mucha variedad o el diseño y la presentación no sean muy vanguardistas , pero que rico por favor. Un sabor que quita el sentido. Calidad máxima y atención de diez. Ver al dueño cortar jamón 5 j sin jamonero es un espectáculo. Gracias por el ratito que nos hicisteis pasar.

The restaurant was packed and we had to wait a while. All the dishes had amazing drawings and it was something that caught our eye and made us want to try out the restaurant, as well as the reviews we read. The food was great. However, the price was high for what it was. Also the service could be better, they seemed a little bit desorganized and it took a while until someone came with the bill and we were able to pay.

This is a typical Spanish restaurant, with many locals eating there on the Thursday lunchtime of our visit. There are tables outside in a pedestrian area, located in the same street as the caves attraction. The service was attentive and the menu extensive. Try the local mushrooms which are excellent, as was the tuna salad and chorizo. We did go back in the evening when considering where to eat, but it was closed. This restaurant is in the town centre. This restaurant is located in the same street as “Gruta de las Maravillas” and we decided to give it a try after visiting the beautiful “Gruta”. Food quality was ok and service was average, but hurried. Most items on the menu were ridiculously overpriced. We where charged 15€ for a cured ham omelette (just the omelette, containing two eggs and some tiny ham cubes; no sides). If you walk for a few minutes towards the center, you will find really nice restaurants, with much better food and service, at literally half the price.

Das war wohl einmal das erste und einzige Haus am Platze und nur so ist zu erklären, dass die Preise reichlich ein Drittel über denen liegen, zu denen in umliegenden, ebenso guten Lokalen gekocht wird. Der sehr effiziente Kellner ließ uns aber noch eintreten, obwohl die Öffnungszeit sich ihrem Ende zuneigte und an anderen Tischen schon das Dessert serviert wurde, sehr nett also. Anheimelnd und beeindruckend ist die Dekoration. Wer sich für die lokalen Traditionen interessiert, wird beeindruckt sein. Auf dem Teller ist nicht ganz so viel los, aber Qualität Ehrensache. We were 8 friends, going back a long way, celebrating just that: our friendship! One of us is almost a local, so we were made very welcome, had fantastic service and even better food! The wonderfully old fashioned decor brought me back to my childhood, so I felt very emotional! The starters, ham, olives and tomatoes, were delicious, but were followed by even better main courses, pork being the general choice. The meat was served with beans and chips, both excellent.
