"Whilst staying in Cala Blanca have to admit we dismissed this originally as we thought it looked your normal british fare However one night we decided to give it a try originally going to have pizza. Wow is all I can say how wrong were we to judge a book by its cover The food and service was fantastic. All food is freshly cooked to order. The cod in honey with raisins and pine nuts was superb and my husband said the lamb was equally good. Our waiter (sorry didn 't get his name but he was originally from Cuba) was excellent showing a good knowledge of the menu and able to make good recommendations. We returned on another two nights. The steaks etc are served on sizzling hot plates with fresh veg and potatoes not a chip in sight! The Angus burger is the best I have ever tasted. Homemade with 100% steak, served on a sizzling hot plate, no bun perfect as I always leave a bun plenty of potatoes and veg. All washed down with an excellent wine. Despite eating there for three nights we never did get out pizza as there was so much other choice. However the hand made pizzas we saw being brought to other tables looked delicious Do not overlook this restaurant it is fab!"

We only stopped for coffee which was just as well as it was really busy and only one waiter. The coffee was good and there was a nice atmosphere but I,m glad we didn't want to eat as I think we we would have been in for a long wait.

The maribel is in the commercial area of cala santandria. It's a lovely place to spend a few hours with the family. There is a bar, cafe/restaurant, kids play area, souvenir shop and a lovely pool. I spent a few relaxing hours here with my missus and kids. We had a bite to eat and drink, (the milkshakes are amazing). You can hire a sunbed for a couple of euros and chill out around the pool. The play area kept my kids happy whilst me and my partner had a few drinks. All in all it was a lovely way to spend a few hours on a scorching hot day.

Having arrived late in the day and feeling very hungry, we made our way from our villa towards the Commercial Centre and came across this complex first and were in no mood to check out any other eateries. Attached to apartments and a few souvenir shops, we had no complaints with either the service or food. In fact we made a mental note to come back so the children could also enjoy the play area which is free if dining in the restaurant. As it was the kids were just as happy playing on the play equipment in front of the complex (but had to tred carefully to avoid the dog poo). Overall I wouldn't say this was a restaurant you'd deliberately choose as there are better options however it filled...

Excellent restaurant linked to the Maribel apartments. Food is well prepared and fresh, all meals coming with fresh veg, salad and potatoes (not frozen chips) . The menu of the day is brilliant value high standard fresh food (salmon salad starters , suckling pig and grilled squid) the rices are particularly good, I tried black rice and rabbit paella amazing. Also tried the steak and was not let down cooked very well asked for one rare and one medium rare and both were cooked perfectly the quality of the meat was awesome can't recommend the steaks enough you need to try the fillet both came with fresh potatoes with dressing and chopped fresh sautéed vegetables. If you have children location i...

well, what can I say... bar staff lovely. Pool area great but our last experience is what will stick. We were staying elsewhere in a villa so went there on our last day. Booked a table for 9 people at 2pm. We finally got our meals at 3:15pm missing 2 children's meals. We asked 5 different waiters, they all claimed to go and find out, not once did they come back to us. By now we have all finished our meals, and we 20 minutes from getting picked up for the airport and STILL no children's meals. Eventually the waiter who took our order came over and tried to tell us we hadn't even ordered it, it wasn't on his tablet thing. Even if this was the case (it wasn't he read the order back to us initia...

"We had very good references about this restaurant, but the truth is that it did not meet expectations. A table of 8 people 6 adults and 2 children cannot have the bad luck of encountering so many problems... We ordered a starter to share the triplet of beef and there was no txistorra the least of our evils being in a restaurant next to the sea... . They compensated us by adding more quantity to the two mixed grills of fish and seafood. Everything was fine until we noticed that the tuna tasted acidic something that is usually not a good sign in a fish . We told the waiter, who tried it and told us it wasn 't good. They compensated us for the second time by bringing us a dish with well marked tuna with a spectacular flavor, as it should have been initially. The person who seemed to be the manager came to the table to apologize and explain to us why the fish was not in good condition. After the explanation and a show with a 2 kilo lobster that one looked in good condition, fresh ; ; more dishes arrived at the table: some nachos for the little ones, Iberian pork with different sauces, braised octopus highly recommended and the mixed frying. Of the latter, it is worth highlighting its small quantity since one of the diners had ordered it on a previous occasion and was served more quantity. It had been recommended to us for two and it could have perfectly been one person 's dish... It was time for dessert and only the children ordered cheesecake in which, continuing with the series of catastrophic misfortunes , they found a hair inside the mass... at that point in the evening and, although the food was quite delicious, the only thing we wanted was to forget the problems that had arisen so we ordered a jug of gin&lemonade to which we were invited, but which had a bitter taste since, if we didn 't ask for it, they wouldn 't offer it to us and, honestly, after suffering so many problems, it would have been a great detail if it had come out of them. I doubt we will return, especially having other similar options in the area. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €30–40 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3"
