"We ate supper outside on a glorious evening with four friends. We chose the tasting menu with wine pairing three Lautrec one Muscadelle with extra course accommodated without question (both coming in at around £90 each). In total we potentially had eight ...courses if the complimentary canapes, amusee bouche, pre dessert petit fours were counted but we were too full for the cheese. Beautiful presented canapés accompanied the chateau 's own organic fizzy white wine to start. All the paired wines were a decent sized glass, organic and locally produced...and delicious. The paella inspired course was a delightful deconstructed paella with squid, rabbit, mussels peppers and crispy saffron rice crips . It was very tasty. The accompanying local red Broucal wine was a lovely discovery. My free range chicken with seared apricots which followed was delicious. The rack of piglet which was served with red radish cherry puree was apparently very good. The chocolate and cherry dessert was a work of art almost too good to eat but not that good ! Highly recommend but try take a taxi ; I drew the short straw had to drive so did not fully appreciate the wines."

Avons dormi dans une chambre ronde, superbe. Restaurant excellent, cuisine tres raffinée et personnel aux petits soins.Rien à redire ! Nous reviendrons

le cadre est idyllique, la bâtisse impressionnante, c'est un veritable havre de paix. les prestations proposées sont de tres bonnes qualités. idéal pour une soirée en amoureux ou un week-end

Een mooi strak en sfeervol restaurant met heerlijk eten. De bediening is professioneel en vriendelijk. Vooral de sommelier. Het hoofd van de bediening was wat kortaf en bits, maar de anderen maakten dat meer dan goed.

Nous avons passé 2 jours formidables. Le restaurant mériterait une étoile au Michelin, Le chef marie à merveille le sucré et le salé ainsi que les différentes textures. Le sorbet au basilic est délicieux. Le service est attentionné sans être lourd. La piscine en contrebas donne sur un magnifique paysage de vigne. Nous reviendrons.

Menu spécial de Pâques mettant a l'honneur la saison avec des asperges et herbes vertes, mousseline de brochet et écrevisses parés de beignets d'encre de seiche. Agneau cuit basse cuisson...magnifique dessert autour des fraises et du chocolat blanc, sur un lit de poivre doux très exotique. Le château de Salette confirme qu'il est l'un des meilleurs restaurants du Tarn, niveau proche d'un étoilé !

Nous avons mangé à la carte et au niveau des portions , c'etait vraiment insuffisant pour le prix. Les assiètes sont graphiques , les gouts interressant mais il manque une petite pointe de quelque chose pour que cela soit vraiment super. Nous avons mangé dehors , donc cadre vraiment très beau.Le somelier nous a trouvé un accord met vin vraiment très interressant et original.Bilan : bon mais pas exceptionnel.

they eat on a terrace that is covered by a brandy (if one assumes that it rains) and this sets the ton of the meal. the choice of meal times is limited, but the standard is excellent. there is a certain attempt to eat and make the cooking art. stand out and that works. we decided to eat a la carte, as the standard menus were not to our taste. our daughter was offered as a menu guinea fowl and kartoffeln, which was a step from other local restaurants. if they want to pamper themselves, they try it here.

Revenu ici après une longue absence et franchement je ne regrette pas. Le cadre , l'environnement et fabuleux. Pour ceux qui veulent se reposer et en même temps être a proximité des villes d'Albi, Gaillac, cordes, Toulouse un endroit a conseiller.La cuisine, inventive , j'ai particuliérement apprécie le melange fraises vertes et wasabi avec la pintade fermière. Le crosmesqui de mozzarelle très réussit aussi. Bref un excellent moment. De plus la carte des vins avec ses prix doux et la mise en valeurs des vins bio et biodynamique ( plageoles et a moins d'un km )du coin n'est pas en reste. D'ailleurs le sommelier a était récompensé en 2016 par le guide .michelin.

When we phoned to book lunch here we were not told that due to it being Mothers Day there was only one menu, no alternative choices and that the price was 66 euros. If the food had been outstanding we would have been happy but it certainly wasn't. Two of our group of six do not eat red meat. When asked if an alternative could be offered to the beef course the answer was no. Then guinea fowl was suggested by the waiter but the offer then withdrawn. Eventually guinea fowl did appear but a meagre portion.Pre starter was a squid ink jelly under a curry foam. Foam was great, jelly could be used as a discus and was tasteless.Starter was ONE sprig of asparagus with bits and bobs. OK.Fish was lovely...
