"I went to Albert’s castlefield yesterday, ordered the chicken. It came out incredibly dry and my friend ordered chips which weren’t cooked and were anaemic. No one came to our table to ask how the food was, only when we’d finished. I didn’t eat any of the chicken, I put some on my friends plate for her to try and she agreed. We spoke to a waitress at the end and she said ‘so sorry about that, is there anything you would like instead’ I said yes please il just have a dessert, sticky toffee pudding which was actually nice. When the bill came they’d put all the food on! I ended up speaking to what I’m guessing was the manager who said, I didn’t tell anyone at the time this was because no one came to the table to ask! she also stated I’d eaten my chicken, which me and my friend both stated to her I ate none of it! I put it on my friends plate for her to try which was evident on her plate. Eventually the manager took the dessert off the bill. I’ve been before and it’s never been like this such a shame. I was here few weeks ago and it was lovely. Completely disappointing"

"Unfortunately, my papaya salad was certainly not freshly prepared.... the tomatoes were soaky and also the fresh salad vegetables with gum-like bite also the dressing was not pikant. The chicken with vegetables and cashew nuts was all right from the general taste, but also the meat appeared to me with a taste, as warmed up. My companions had more luck with pasta dishes and spring rolls. But I will no longer come through this bad luck. If I pay about 50 € for two bottles of water, an appetizer and a main dish, I expect a better quality. The service was extremely friendly!"

"Today I got takeaway from this restaurant. The miso soup and the sushi was all Tokyo standard food. This was my first experience of the location, the staff were very friendly and I am going back once lockdown is over to sit in. amazing quality food. The quality of the seafood was superb. the menu is very impressive. Worth a visit definitely. The octopus was particularly nice as was the salmon. going to dine in tomorrow (Oct 2021), have reviewed the menu, and will post photos and comments tomorrow. based on the past, I am expecting a great meal Today, was excellent, the food and the staff were excellent. Both myself my friend really enjoyed the food. Superb Tempura and Raman. definitely going back. (14th Oct 2021) First visit of 2022, had an excellent meal and a great conversation with an authority on Japanese food. his summary was, the venue and the food was excellent and it reminded him of his home in the east"

"Vegan options are in somerset in the regular limited and although they sell meat here, ebisu clearly mark vegetarian and vegan options on their menu. After a day in wsm we have a take. I would probably recommend to sit and eat instead of taking away if possible, as I always think that something is lost in taste when stumbled into a box. Nevertheless, eating was great, it didn't necessarily feel authentic japanese in terms of lightness, but it tasted everything really good. will definitely come back, but next time they sit back and it was as good as the first time if not better! updated by the previous review on 2021-09-19"

"If you were rating this place on the quality of food alone, it wouldn 't score this highly, but visiting Yo! Sushi is more than just eating, it 's experience. Everything is so cute. From the little dishes for your soy and wasabi, to the cute little dishes trundling along the conveyor belt, to the little pencils and colouring sheet they bought out for my daughter. And sushi is just the perfect choice for me. I much prefer to have a little bit of lots of different dishes rather than one big plate of one thing. I love to try new things and I 'm determined that one day I 'll be able to tick off everything on the menu at Yo! and say yep! I 've tried the lot! And I must say I had a pretty good stab at ticking a lot of dishes off on Sunday.... I most recently visited Yo! during their 'Sumo Sundays ' promotion all you can eat from the belt for £19.50. And boy did I make my money count! I never find sushi particularly filling, but man I was waddling down the escalators out of Harvey Nicks feeling glad of my stretchy pants!! It was very busy, there was a queue in front of me 6 year old Mini MacDoo number 1 when we arrived, but it didn 't take long for us to get seated at the belt. My daughter wasn 't hungry and isn 't adventurous enough to try any of the dishes (much to her foodie mum 's disappointment! so I was a bit worried about her getting bored, but the waiter who served us brought her a a little packet of pencil crayons and a colouring and activity sheet to keep her occupied, which included a fab game where you have to spot six different dishes going round on the belt I got as excited as she did when we ticked the last couple off! So, daughter happily occupied, I began my assault on the belt. I scoffed hairy prawns, salmon skin iso, tuna nigiri, chicken gyoza, crunchy prawn iso, tempura prawns, chicken tsukune, Yo! Rolls and the totally amazing spicy pepper squid. And more. Yes, I 'm a greedy pig, but hey, gotta get your money 's worth in an 'all you can eat ' promotion. In fact I take it as a personal challenge! I 'm determined to take Mr MacDoo to Yo! at some point too. He 's one of these folk who think they won 't like sushi because they 're put off by the thought of raw fish. Or even fish! But I know he 'll love the yaki soba and the chicken katsu and the tsukune balls and the gyoza. Even if you 're not a fish lover there 's still loads to choose from so don 't let it put you off. So in short? Yummy food and a fantastic fun experience. I can 't wait to go again! Stop press!! Have just found out that Leeds is getting a new Yo! Sushi in the new city centre shopping centre Trinity Leeds later this year! Yussss! Bagsy being the first to Yelp about it!!"

"This upscale fish and chip shop is dangerously close to home, making it all too easy to give in to the temptation of their £5 fish and chips box after a long day at work."

"Food lovely. Slightly put out by the service. We were asked if we'd like a drink and didn't receive it. At the end we were asked if we could leave a review whilst we were paying. Then we were asked to leave a tip. I will always tip but I don't like to be asked! In the end I tipped myself for the self service I had so diligently performed."

"It’s been a while since I visited this restaurant probably pre pandemic and we always loved it. OMG has it changed. Gone is the tempting dishes passing you on conveyor belt now you have order by phone …you have to ask for a paper menu…So you are seated and told where the code is for your table….order…pay and then the order comes to you and stops the conveyor belt and your light goes green. The Edamame beans which we always order and love were inedible to be fair after we tried two separate dishes of them both of which tasted like cardboard they were knocked off the bill. The sushi was nice the Korean Chicken took 22 minutes to arrive from ordering it tasted great but a very long wait . You are also charged a service charge …this must be for showing you to your table as …you order yourself…you take the food off the belt…you pay yourself so I am not sure what service you get…..I understand that service styles change however lots of food was “unavailable “ from the menu …they have taken the fun out of going….the plus side my bill was probably half the normal bill as I was not tempted to try the dishes passing me in the belt as none did….such a shame to see a once great place to eat become an also ran….we will swerve next time we are in the Arndale"

"While the revolving dishes system is certainly unique and fascinating, the sushi's quite often do not taste fresh. For all I know, the same dishes must be revolving around all day. For vegetarians, the options is limited and there is no flexibility of ordering something not on the menu. Many better, more fresh Japanese fast food restaurants that I would suggest instead of Yo Sushi."

"Went for my anniversary lunch and was extremely happy! The staff are lovely and very accommodating if you do not know what to order or how to order. Situated in Drakes Circus it’s a tad busy with a bit of noise if you go on a busy day, but with sectioned booth you feel very secluded which is lovely! On the other hand, there’s a breakfast bar style seating available if you want to talk to everyone! The food was gorgeous, absolutely delicious I was extremely happy with the Set Menu and the dishes I got! Would definitely recommend, it’s a lovely, different style of food!"

"Having been to Kura revolving sushi bars in the United States, which is generally rated 4+ stars, definitely not for sushi quality but maybe for the revolving sushi experience that is quite limited and new to the regions, Yo!, without a doubt, outranks them in my book. This place is generally extremely busy. No seats are left vacant, so don't expect too much space while eating, for the claustrophobics. Therefore, outstanding service is reasonably to not be expected. However, as a solo customer, I was able to be quickly seated at the bar, sandwiched between two other customers, with limited space to flare my elbows out while using utensils to eat. In comparison to Kura, the Salmon Sashimi at Yo! was much fresher. What actually surprised me most was the generous amount of seafood I was given in the Spicy Seafood Ramen I was served. The taste of the broth and texture of the noodle were mediocre, however. The staff quickly attended to my needs and were able to get me in and out with plenty of time to make it to my gate for on-boarding. All it took was a waiving of a hand to grab the attention of the overworked employees. Would likely come back."

"We visited Koto Restaurant on North Parade for Sunday lunch for the first time, and we wish we had tried it sooner. The ramen broth was incredibly delicious, with a gentleman next to us remarking that it tasted just like what he had in Japan. The menu was straightforward and easy to order from, with both the broth and noodles being homemade and preservative-free. The food was healthy, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The only downside was that they do not take reservations, so there may be a wait. Overall, I would rate the food at Koto Restaurant as some of the best in Oxford."

"This restaurant offers delicious food in a great atmosphere, but it can be pricey if you're really hungry. I wasn't happy about the fact that they charge for water, but the unlimited bowls of soup make up for it."

"My daughter and I did the Yo Sushi cooking experience. It was absolutely fantastic! Fun, engaging and really interesting. Would recommend without hesitation. Dave who led the session was so patient and took time to explain each dish. A wonderful ambassador for the company."

"I was very unpleasantly surprised by what visually is a lovely bar. The service was exceptionally poor and unwelcoming. We had planned to have some drinks here before heading elsewhere in South Kensington. On arrival we were greeted (sort of) by a woman who couldn’t have cared less about her customer service, our visit to her workplace was clearly a large burden and I found her general demeanour to be very rude and passive aggressive. One of her colleagues did however, swoop in to remedy the situation and accommodate us. Not a great start. The disappointing atmosphere continued when we had to actively (but politely) flag down a member of staff after being ignored for 15 minutes in a bar that wasn’t particularly busy, to then make eye contact and attempt to order and be ignored several further times was a real shame, and felt very deliberate and unwelcoming, therefore we decided to leave after one drink. This is the only time I have ever asked for a service charge to be removed after years of living in London because it was so substandard, particularly in comparison to the levels of service you experience elsewhere in the same area."

"Nice size and cheerful, relaxed atmosphere. Just pretty pricey for what it is, especially if you're on a student budget. Friendly service, despite the slightly weird lack of water jugs you'll be given a glass of water which is then refilled randomly. Food was nice and there is a good range of choice (including for veggies), but the pricing is just too high. Especially considering the place's proximity to city centre and therefore so many colleges and student accommodations, there should at least be student discount. We were charged around £9 for a very small dish of around 5 pieces of chilli squid, with a tiny dish of sauce that barely lasted. Soups are really yummy but, again, too expensive. The cheapest one is wonton and is around £13, for which i was expecting a portion far bigger than the medium bowl I got. Overall: nice, cheery experience, but the bill was over £50 for two people without drinks."

"Ichiban Fusion is a staple restaurant for us. The menu is simple and straightforward, food is excellent and prices are decent. Staff are always friendly, and we’ve only once ever had an issue with an order (one plate of food being forgotten about). Having dined...there a lot, one issue isn’t a big deal, and it was sorted very quickly. Personal favs are chicken tempura and chicken yakisoba but the menu is varied and caters for a wide range of palettes and choices. Vegetarian dishes are available, and both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks are available. And excellent place to eat, all in. The tables are long communal types, but generous with space and access, and baby seats are provided also should you require, so nice and child friendly too. Prices are reasonable, a meal for three with drinks will typically be in the category for the group. Portion sizes are good and food is delivered quickly. It’s a struggle to get Japanese food that’s even close to the real thing having worked in Japan, I like the cuisine. Ichiban Fusion is as close as I’ve came to Japanese food in Scotland. And excellent place to eat."
