"I have been a regular at Coffee Barker for several years and I can honestly say they serve the best coffee in town. The service is always welcoming and smiley and they remember my name and my regular order. I worked in hospitality for 43 years so I understand great service and a great venue. It means that I also know how hard it is to get great service right, especially when staff are at the lower end of the pay scale. The place is always spotlessly clean and the music choice is diverse and interesting. I have two pieces of Cherry Bakewell Slice and a Flat White coffee and the cake is delicious soft, moist and packed with cherry filling with plenty of almonds on the top. The coffee is delicious and is a properly made flat white, unlike a few places in town. The seating is luxurious leather chairs and sofas and is so comfortable that I find it hard to leave! Please ignore the recent negative reviews they so obviously have some kind of agenda and I simply do not recognise the staff they are describing, (Lisa, 'the blonde one ' is a lovely, friendly lady who is always smiling and always attentive and kind. Do yourself a favour and visit Coffee Barker if you 're in town. It 's simply the best."

Freezing outside but warmed by great coffee lovely cake inside. That’s the upside in this weather, the warm, welcoming Coffee Barker. Thank you

Prices are very high and very average food. My panini was burnt on the bottom which at nearly £10 is not good. Coffee is better in other Bracknell cafes.

Best coffee shop in Bracknell (with a lot of competition within a minutes' walk). Delicious coffee especially their decaff almost indistinguishable from the regular blend. Staff are very friendly and efficient. But best of all is the ambience and comfy seating.

Popped in for a coffee while out shopping with my sister-in-law. We ordered two coffee's. When they were bought to our table they were lifted off of the tray with the waitresses thumbs resting on the rim of the cup's. Her other fingers were carrying the saucer underneath! We asked her to remover her thumbs as it was not acceptable. But I don't think she understood. Needless to say we will not be returning... View menu

I had an epiphany today. This place isn’t just about great coffee amazing cakes/bakes. It’s a Hub, a community, sitting here watching people take a break from the cold and seasonal shopping, meeting friends loved ones, it’s heart warming. And today with our high streets now dominated by faceless chains selling plastic covered sandwiches with the only difference between them is the logo on their takeaway cup. We live in a cynical intolerant world but here there’s no religion or politics it just offers great Coffee, warmth, comfort, employment, a real sense of community coffee Barker i personally thank you. I think every town needs a place like this.

The service here has plummeted. I've been a regular at coffee barker for years and always loved it but in the past few months the service has become terrible, staff are rude and have gotten my order wrong the last 3 times, don't seem to understand the simplest request, for example asking for skimmed milk?! Also do not appreciate that they now come round to the tables giving you dirty looks and telling you they are closing soon (although the online closing times says much later? . It makes you feel rushed and unwelcome like you are an inconvenience not a paying customer. Such a shame as it's a lovely location and interior but unless something drastically changes with the customer service I wi...

"First impression sign saying Cafe leads to a corridor. Glazed windows to left with a gloomily lit crèche inside. Follow corridoor, no sign of cafe, but an Italian Deli nearby that sadly doesn’t do breakfast. Second impression competed the 200 yard loop to arrive back at the cafe sign. This time spot that it’s not a crèche but might be a cafe. Paper sign on the door says ‘exit only and please use main entrance’. No clear directions where this might be. Third impression look behind me, check what might be another outer wall of the cafe, dead end, no obvious entry. Fourth impression spot a cash desk and a young lady preoccupied on the screen. Politely ask “Excuse me, how do I get into the cafe?” “It’s outside” accompanied by a vague arm wave, head still down and in a ‘how dare you interrupt me’ tone. Fifth impression: Turn a couple of corners and spot what is probably a cafe entrance up a ramp through some outside tables. Sixth impression: wait at the sign saying ‘please wait to be seated’ for a minute or two, but confused by the fact that there are customers at a counter 5 meters away, several members of staff (albeit that some were on the preparation side of the operation) by no one coming to serve me. Seventh impression: waitress reasonably helpful and the food was very nice (though if you are charging £14 for breakfast, you should never be using horrible cheap vinegary ketchup) but so aggravated by the lead up that it was very hard to enjoy. Overall it’s clearly a reasonably successful business with lots of franchise outlets and what looked like a well stocked core business garden centre but the food offerings g still needs a huge overhaul to achieve its maximum potential. Everything in the cafe was on a make do and mend basis. Fridges blocking the artwork, old outside bin reused inside, cheap ketchup as mentioned and many others. They were doing a tiny fraction of the food business that other garden centres in the region would be doing at this time of day and it’s not the food that’s lacking but the organisation, signage and (presumably) leadership."
