"My husband and I are return visitors to Tavarnelle and we were lucky enough to meet Paolo many years ago. Over the time, he has transformed the space of Caffe Degli Amici into a beautiful community where family and friends sit to catch up, share an espresso, dine on incredible Tuscan dishes, and drink amazing wine. The wine options in and of themselves at the restaurant are incredible--do yourself a favor--purchase the wine that they recommend--we always enjoyed every bottle we had there and returned multiple times for additional bottles! Paolo's dear family has created and curated a wonderful menu--it is filled with fresh dishes and specialties daily. You can taste the love and the history in each dish, and we have always enjoyed our time here--whether it be for a quick breakfast, dinner, or takeaway, each experience is always lovely. If we lived full time in Italy, Paolo's bar and restaurant would absolutely be our local hangout. Lots of TVs, wonderful people, incredible food, and a wine selection that's enjoyable at every time of year. Grazie Mille to Paolo and his family for this wonderful restaurant!!! We are so happy that Christina introduced us and we look forward to returning to visit very soon!!!"

"Locale molto carino, in estate è possibile cenare/pranzare all’aperto, la vista che si gode è davvero molto bella, consiglio di prenotare un tavolo accanto alle mura. Antipasto toscano buono anche se avrei preferito qualche crostino più, la pizza è super fine e croccante, mi è piaciuta molto. Ho apprezzato anche l’assaggio della pappa al pomodoro. Prezzi medi, pizze personale presente e molto cortese. Andateci"

"The tables of this place are truly arranged in the farmyard, where a huge tree of sweet figs stands majestically, from Podere di Lorenzo, the head of the family... it is family run, you can taste the typical Tuscan dishes rigorously made with organic products from the garden, harvested daily. The menu changes every day. I ate an excellent wood-fired pizza from the Hague and as an appetizer the flavors of the Tuscan countryside: pappa with tomato, chickpeas and lentils Florentine style, figs and spicy salami and other delicacies, all washed down with good local wine. The evening passed pleasantly accompanied by the music of a good group of musicians. Mr. Lorenzo is a very affable person and so are the other members of the family. I recommend the place for the authenticity of the dishes, to spend a peaceful rural evening. Excellent quality-price relation. Unfortunately, the opening period is only in the evening (from 7.30pm to 10.30pm) from Spring to mid-September only because the countryside requires a lot of necessary care... Now it's harvest time and... we are in the heart of Chianti. "

"Per me è stata una piacevole scoperta ...non lo conoscevo... piccolo borgo nel Chianti Fiorentino, il ristorante è in un fienile ristrutturato e arredato con gusto e personalità. Il personale è preparato e ti consiglia sia nella scelta dei piatti che nella scelta dei vini . Buonissimo l'uovo cotto a bassa temperatura al tartufo così come la tartare .... ma strepitosa è stata la crema bruciata al lime accompagnata con un vino dolce ovviamente consigliato dal cameriere . Non è in una strada di passaggio, ma vale la pena fare una deviazione per arrivarci ."

"Il locale è piccolo, ma accogliente. Quando si entra si respira l'ospitalità toscana. Il proprietario è una persona eccezionale, mette subito tutti a proprio agio, ci ha consigliato i piatti da prendere in base ai nostri gusti e tutto quello che ci ha portato è stato a dir poco fantastico! Cucinato tutto alla perfezione, si può scegliere tra una varietà di vini eccezionali. Spero di poterci ritornare al più presto, lo consiglio caldamente!"
