"Looked in to the Cream Puff when passing through the village of Denholm with work recently and made the impromptu decision to stop off for lunch.I was greeted with a warm welcome and took a seat and in a timely fashion my order was taken. My food was freshly prepared and I waited no more than 10 minutes before food arrived. I ordered a panini with salad and It was a healthy sized portion I was given and certainly value for money. Such were the delights on offer on the cake stands I had no choice but to indulge while I took some traybake away (the malteaser crunch wow! with me for afters later on!The place was full of local people who it seems attend regularly, with some making the journey 3 to 4 times a week for lunch, so what more really needs to be said!WiFi is available although no card payments are taken but hey that just adds to its charm considering the modern digital world we now live in. Had I had more time, and say a good book with me, I’d would have happily have lost myself at this hidden gem of a coffee shop for more than a couple of hours!"

Traveling through the wonderful Scottish Borders, I stopped off in Denholm for a cup of coffee to go, Cream puff is on the roadside so easy to find and park at.Service is cheerful and highly efficient and the Coffee is the BEST I've had. Many thanks.

My only visit to the cafe with family ws OK. The place has a few tables and was full without being crammed when we went. The cakes and drinks were fine, nothing special but sound enough and standard prices. My grandson particularly liked the elaborate hot chocolate.

The food is freshly prepared to order and the cakes the owner makes are varied and tasty. A nice warm welcome and the place was full of local people who, it seems from talking to them, appear to attend regularly so what more recommendations are needed.Try it for a treat and become a regular.

I have ordered takeaway cakes from this restaurant a few times since they reopened. The quality is excellent, prices are reasonable, and the staff are friendly and talkative. They do not have indoor seating due to COVID-19 restrictions, but outdoor seating is available on the green if the weather is nice.

Called in around 1pm mid-week and got the last table. Waitress advised she'd take our order shortly. Waited a good 10 mins but that was ok. Ordered a sandwich each, a tea and a coffee. No non-dairy milk available. Cakes looked nice but no room after our sandwiches. Service wasn't unfriendly but not friendly either. Couldn't crack a smile. Not open Sun or Mon. Cash payment only. Some seating outside.

This was my first visit to the Cream Puff and visited for a drink and snack during a local cycle run. I’d heard a lot of good reports about it, therefore this was a good opportunity to try it out. Three teas, a chocolate snack, homemade cake and a filled roll came to just over £9 which I thought was acceptable and service was very good and friendly. Unfortunately they only accept cash only and that is clearly displayed although I was still taken unawares, lol. It was a good experience and I’m more than happy to recommend and revisit

What a wonderful find! A friend recommended this café to us, and after a stroll up and down nearby Rubers Law, we decided to treat ourselves. We enjoyed a delicious pot of tea and a slice of cake. It was hard to choose from all the tempting options, but we ultimately went with the 3-tier lemon cake. It was absolutely superb - light, with a zesty filling that perfectly complemented the tea. We also couldn't resist getting a slice of biscoff brownie for later, which was also fantastic. If you find yourself in Denholm, I highly recommend visiting this café. And don't worry, you don't have to hike the hill first!

A group of 10 cyclists, traveling from Newcastle to Innerleithen on 5th June, stopped at Denholm for a late lunch at the Cream Puff cafe. They had pre-ordered their food to save time and were impressed when they arrived to find everything freshly made, labeled, and ready for pickup. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the food, especially the homemade sausage rolls, was delicious. The sandwiches were also tasty and filling, and the group enjoyed fruit scones and traybakes as well. The staff even generously topped up their water bottles on the hot, sunny day. Overall, the cyclists had a great lunch stop that was excellent value for money. Thank you to all the staff!
