"Culloden House was our introduction to Scottish hospitality after flying into Inverness. It's a short drive from the airport, about half way before Inverness itself, and shares its name with the nearby battlefield that was the site of the last pitched battle on GB soil. I had seen pics of Culloden House, but suspected the reality might not be so grand, or that the manor house might be tired, or that we would be stuck in a more modern annex. But if anything, the host exceeded my expectations. Driving up to it I was almost afraid to go through the gates, thinking it was too grand an entrance for tourists. The staff were really excellent and seemed to enjoy their work. Breakfast was amazing, in a huge dining room. We didn't try dinner. The room was a lucky upgrade for us to a suite, which was HUGE and had the softest bed I remember in a long time. Luxury! It really felt like we were staying at a county manor house as honored guests. The walled garden is also massive and lovingly cared for. It was spring and we had cherry blossoms and daffodils everywhere. Well worth half an hour. 15 minute drive into Inverness itself. Probably not somewhere you can get by public transport."

Outstanding hotel in Inverness. Beautiful hotel with rich history. Staff 5 star and currently doing renovations. Only regret is I’ll be on west coast for trip in April. Will visit again soon.

The staff were very attentive. The room where we sat was cold and not very inviting. The sandwiches were very disappointing and boring. White bread with cream cheese! They must have run out of smoked salmon! Not as posh as I had hoped for or expected from an establishment like Culloden House!

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. There was a small issue with our room assignment, but the staff quickly and efficiently resolved it. The dinner and breakfast were both top-notch, and we were impressed by the helpfulness of all the employees, especially the food and beverage manager who provided great recommendations on their extensive selection of whiskies.

Only here as we had been gifted a voucher for afternoon tea. This is an old and historic building but was always thought to be a bit upmarket with the prices they charge. However, our treat was pretty run of the mill the usual obligatory sandwiches, scones with cream and jam followed by some sweet treats. Nothing to write home about have had better in other establishments and costing less.

The restaurant at Culloden House offered expertly prepared food served with gracious hospitality in an elegant room. The dinner menu offered many choices of fish, steak, lamb, and vegetable accompaniments. The deserts were heavenly, and the wine and whiskey lists were extensive. We also enjoyed breakfast each morning of our stay. There were many choices and everything we tasted was delicious.

My husband and I stayed one night at Culloden House and dined at the restaurant and we were not disappointment. One of the best meals we have ever had. The service friendly and professional, presentation out of this world. The bagpipes are played at 7pm to pipe diners into dinner which was a very special added touch and just added to our dining experience and stay in Scotland. I would highly recommend dining at Culloden House.

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious lunch at the hotel after visiting the battlefield this morning. Culloden House exceeded our expectations with its beautiful dining room decorated with a crystal chandelier, polished wood, and white tablecloths. The service was exceptional, the staff were fantastic, and the three-course set menu was the best meal we've had during our trip to Scotland. The soup, main courses, and desserts were all perfect. After our meal, we strolled around the hotel's walled garden on this sunny day, which was a lovely end to our lunch before heading back to Inverness. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

We had a wonderful experience at the Culloden House Hotel. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted with exceptional hospitality. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, making our stay all the more enjoyable. The hotel itself is charming and full of character, and the rooms were fantastic. I had the best night's sleep here compared to all the other hotels we visited in Scotland. The food and drinks were delicious, and we especially enjoyed spending time in the walled garden and seeing the nearby highland cows. I would rate it 4 stars for location, as it is a bit far from the city, but the staff were always willing to arrange a quick taxi ride for us. We would def...
