"I 'd been looking forward going to 'Curry Leaf Cafe ' all year as never got round to it. I 'd had a look online at the menu a week before making the booking found the menu interesting varied. When arriving the vibe was all good but the menu had diminished by 50% I 'd say. When I asked why many of the things weren 't on there I was told it was a new xmas menu. The choice was limited compared to what I 'd viewed only a week before. It wasn 't like the menu had new things on, just less of what it had before, like the Lamb Shank for instance wasn 't present. Overall, I think it was all a little over priced for the amount of choice etc. I 'm not a big eater either, but at almost £17 for 2 small curry dishes some dips/rice you 'd expect a lot more."

really sweet restaurant and so many vegan options the thali was as good as it meant that you can taste so many different things!

great eating here, many vegan options marked clearly. I loved the vegan chicken drumstick star, for the first time I had a peshawari naan even in years!

Funky curry restaurant in the heart of Brighton. We visited as a vegan, omni and vegetarian child. The vegan thali’s were amazing and the staff were really knowledgable and helpful. More than half the menu is vegan and it is all clearly marked.

Staff were welcoming and friendly. The place wasn't busy, but maybe because we didn't arrive until well after 2pm. We chose the thali and it was delicious. The wine options are good too: a bottle, a carafe or a glass. Would definitely recommend.

really vibrant restaurant on a Saturday night in Brighton. Loved the short menu as you know everything is fresh. good choices too if you want to avoid meat. food nicely presented and a refreshing change from the usual curry house. Good beer selections recommend house on tap.

I really wanted to love this place after reading a lot of glowing reviews. Unfortunately it didn't live on my expectations and I still came away hungry. I enjoyed the decor, the personal was wonderful and the food was quite beautiful. it was not justified, however, the money I paid or lived to expect.

Had yet another delicious meal at Curry Leaf Cafe. The food was fantastic. I suffer from a range of random food allergies and had assumed that the dish that I had chosen did not contain any of them. However, when it arrived I realised that it contained tomatoes. I checked with the waitress and she confirmed this. I said it was fine and that I'd eat the other dishes. But within 5 minutes the maitre'd had checked my allergies with me and got the chef to rustle me up an allergy free curry. Super service!

we have ordered the farewell, because we only wanted a quiet night in us. the popadoms were beautiful, fresh a new crunchy. 1) we ordered the malabar sweet curry that tasted this like a Thai green curry. too much cocose for my taste. 2) bengali herbal labra aubergine and sweet. taste was ok, but the sweet potato was not boiled. too much dripping. 3) the daal was delicious although I would add more chili 4) the garlic and coriander naan was quite hard and did not seem very fresh. It was okay, but I wouldn't go back.

the curry leaf is a completely different experience with the normal curry. the restaurant is unique and has a wonderful, friendly ambiente. the service is attentive with good advice, if necessary, and considering that the restaurant was full! there were 4 of us that celebrate a birthday, and we were very welcome diverse and interesting selection of beer made, and a menu that I like to choose at least dishes, so that the selection is much easier. the portions are smaller than usual, but with more choice a main, a vegetable dish, various nibbels and sauces and dips and rice, of course. the whole experience is an attack on the sensual fabulous meal (2 times around) and will be back.
