"We were taken here by a friend who lives in the same street - and how fortunate to have such a restaurant on your doorstep! The Italian owners were very friendly (ok, so they knew a regular) and the food and service were very good. My three types of (filled) pasta was a special - and lived up to its rating. I was offered a choice of two sauces (creamy cheese of tomato - I opted for the latter but partner's cheesy on was also good) . At 12 euros this was excellent value which was reflected in the prices across a broad but not excessive menu) Excellent wine, efficient service and a clean comfortable room. All in all a lovely meal."

A middle class restaurant with kind but unefficient staff. About the food, nothing special and very very far from Italian taste... View menu

Dinner with the family. Very authentic Italian restaurant with a good admosphere. Delicious meals and very friendly people. We enjoyed a very nice evening at very reasonable cost. A real must when you are in Bonn!

Although Verdi looks like a simple place, the impression is noticeable. Here Italian is cooked at the highest level. At eye level with the il Punto and other significantly more expensive addresses. Only the pizzas should go. They are obviously under the dignity of a proud Sicilian cook.

I was really just looking for a place to have a quick bite, just down the street from my hotel, and get back to work, but when I stepped inside I saw that this place was run with taste and a deft touch. The word fresh keeps coming to mind. Service was excellent but unstressed. The pizza I had already decided upon was just out of the oven and clearly assembled after I ordered it. I wish I had had the time to try one of the specials. I am just guessing, but I suspect many of the other patrons were regulars. I would be if Iived here. View menu

I went there today. We ordered the daily pasta specials, thinking that would be the quickest. The restaurant had one table with people. The waitress was not overly friendly, and we told her we are in a hurry! It took 25 minutes to serve the pasta! In the meanwhile, German guests arrive, and she was basically greeting them all like family members! Very friendly, and ignoring us, while we are waiting for our food. The food was just average tasting. This restaurant is not in the city, a little further out, closer to the railway station, maybe not the best neighbourhood. I will never go there again.

Situated close to the city centre in Bonn, Da Verdi offers truly excellent food and great service at reasonable cost.I've eaten there several times over the last year or so and have always been delighted with the experience. Outdoor dining on a pleasant terrarce is available when the weather is warm enough, with blankets provided too.Da Verdi offers genuine Italian food but with various international options too, so there's a great choice for any palate and preferences. The staff are all highly trained and offer a consistently high level of service. All in all, a perfect place to eat and enjoy the ambiance of Bonn.

Bonn is a charming city on the Rhine, known for Beethoven's birthplace. Typical dishes include Sauerbraten, Rhenish mussels, and Himmel un Ääd, a mix of mashed potatoes and apples.
