"The lamb kiev for starter had very little taste. The bouillabaisse sauce (with the hake fillet) was tepid not sure if this is how it was supposed to be served but we had to wait a long time for our mains (had to ask the waiting staff if our mains were actually coming even though the restaurant was virtually empty on a Saturday evening). The beer battered fish and chips was very good. We had high expectations of this place but it wasn't great and I doubt we would return. Although the restaurant is quaint it had very little ambience. The chairs are comfortable though...."

Nice place for a quiet dinner with friends. Quality of food was high but overall it was quite expensive. Mid week I think they could offer a set price menu.

The staff are great and the wine list offers a brilliant selection. The refurbished dining room is a bit bland for my taste but OK. Food was good rather than exceptional. A decent night out but not ‘fine dining’.
