"Stayed as part of a group celebrating a special birthday. Very comfortable room ensuite (the only place I've stayed where earplugs were provided as standard unnecessary as it's in such a quiet spot); absolutely spotless; great staff. The only reason I haven't given 5* overall is that the veggie so called sausages for breakfast weren't really sausages. They were sausage shaped rissoles containing cheese. Very tasty, but I've had better veggie sausages in other places, with a better texture and a sausage skin, a sine qua non of sausages, for me. Otherwise the food was excellent with large portions. Would definitely stay again. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Luxury, Romantic, Quiet"

Lovely old pub with excellent food, worth the high price. Although the fruit crumble wasn't up to scratch, the fruit was a pulp like liquid with only a spoonful of crumble on top. Service: 5 Location: 5

The food was excellent and expertly prepared. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. Located in the hills with a stunning view, we highly recommend dining here. It is definitely worth a visit!

On your board outside it says lunch 12.till 2.30 we called in at 2pm and was told lunch had finished,so if so you should say last lunch orders at 2pm,it has happened twice to us,other than that it is a lovely friendly place and pleasant staff.

We stopped in for a quick lunch on our way home and were pleasantly surprised by the delicious and generous portions of food. We enjoyed the pheasant goujons, turkey roast, and beef brisket roast. The restaurant is super dog-friendly and even has a menu for our furry friends. The staff were very friendly as well. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Stopped off for a drink only. Very pleased our dogs were accepted. The place had a lovely atmosphere and GF dog treats, which I'd not seen before. Good car parking facilities. A tall older lady served us and was friendly. Another younger woman was less so, quite short and obviousy stressed. Guests were friendly and we stuck up conversations with 2 couples. We would return again if in the area, just be aware you will need deepest pockets when visiting. 2 glasses of wine £23. Service: 4 Location: 4
