"We stopped at the Dragon pub to grab a quick drink and hydrate before our walk across the dunes of Maspalonas. This was the ONLY place we found who served a large latte, everywhere else we went only served small espresso sized cafe con lechies (coffee with milk). So this was an instant hit with the wife. Once she found they did frozen daiquiri's, well that was it for her. Looking through the menus I noticed, for me anyway, that there was Octopus, as I really enjoy seafood, we agreed to come back that evening. Arriving back around 20:00, we were greeted by the host, who recognised us from earlier in the morning. I was slightly disappointed to find the evening menu was different from the lunch, tapas style dishes but easily found alternatives, which arrived hot and very tasty. Whilst we were there we saw groups large and small turn up, some singing along with the live musician, just like we were and some who just ate and left. It appears that this can be a hit and miss venue and even though our meals were very good, we did notice some people were not happy, especially the Italian lady who complained her lasagne wasn't the same as she gets back home in Italy. But each to their own I suppose. The German couple sitting next to us had a blast and it was interesting to watch the husband going at his tomahawk steak like a caveman possessed, so I'm assuming it was good. As I really wanted the octopus, we came back the next day for lunch and even though there was a different host this time, the two main waiters recognised us and greeted us warmly and continued to laugh and joke with us, as they had done the previous visits. In all we found this establishment to be a lovely stop for a bite to eat and enjoyed sitting down with some good food, relaxing and watching the world go by."
