2 weeks ago, after a small hike around the nearby lakes. Very attractive and beautifully located beer garden, just the right for a refreshment or strengthening after a small hike or a bike tour. What you saw, what was brought to the tables, looked very promising. The fifth star is if I could convince myself of the food. We come back and also a clear recommendation from us....

Beautifully located beer garden in the middle of the forest! Perfect as a destination for a hike or bike tour ... Great seating under trees and next to a railway line on which a train always passes (what for railway fans! .. Essen has beer garden quality at elevated prices (Jägerschnitzel with Pommes for 19.90 € is not really justified .. Has anyone ever taste Gulasch on Pommes again... View menu

Very nice location in beautiful ambience. Unusually beautiful for a beer garden. The different seats are particularly great. Hollywood swing, benches or armchairs. The food is very tasty and the service is diligent and friendly. Small deduction, as the portions are very large and hardly create for a person. Accordingly, the prices are also. Maybe you can make the portions smaller, then you don't have to throw so much away?!

My son and I have been over from London to see his granny and she took us for dinner at this very cosy outdoor beer garden. I ordered the Jaegerschnitzel even though I thought it was a bit pricey at Euro but the menu...said that it would be worth every cent And I have to say when it arrived I was blown away! The best Jaegerschnitzel I ever had. It was as it said on the tin worth every cent Well worth coming over from London just for that!!! Christian

Joining our Germanytrip in Cologne friends recommended an original bavarian beergarden as it has to be. So far so good. Railway to Trier and Erftstadt is the station to jump off. Few meters into the Villeforest and there is a overflowered beergarden . Nice. Space...for children, lots of fresh drafted beers for dads and different fine wines for ladies. Our food choice we had was knupserjagerschnitzel the hammer! Recommended curryworstpfanne was typical german? with fries , sauce sweet and tasty...bit indian style next trip to Germany first here!
