"We went for lunch and ordered a salad. The food was not bad but can you believe a waiter started to argue about moving a heater away from the table? I have travelled many countries but I have never seen a waiter arguing with a guest for making him or her not comfortable. The waiter desperately wanted to move the heater in a direction where nobody else was sitting. After we asked him politely to move the heater back he started to argue in a very loud voice.I have also heard from a friend they charged his invoice twice and are not paying it back. I prefer eathing nothing instead of being treated like this.Düsseldorf has many nice restaurants. This is one of the few to stay away.Bad experience."

Exceedingly spacious, nice atmosphere, a good place for our croquet group to meet and eat before the tournament. I won the tournament next day, but don't think I am biased!

The tuna steak with barbecue is highly recommended. The service is friendly, very attentive and accommodating. The price/performance ratio is absolutely appropriate. The ambience at Emmafisch impresses with the openness of the old hall, the decoration and the beautifully designed tables.

The grilled Calamaris as an appetizer were cold. The salad at the main dish was forgotten, and vegetables were what I didn't want. The Dorade was mild, the Zanderfilet was not seasoned at all, dry roasted and tasted nothing at all. The complaint was accepted and that was it. I won't enter Emmafisch anymore.

The friends we were staying with said they wanted to take us to an interesting restaurant. They didn't let us down. The outside belies the delights inside. It must be seen to appreciate I won't spoil the surprise by saying too much. The furnishings are a joy to behold. The friendly service and great food made for a brilliant finish to a great day with friends.

There is nothing to save the experience in this restaurant.. unless you like to eat in warehouse style restaurant...It was not clean, we were only two or three tables in this big space and the service was slow...The quality of food was really low, with bad quality schrimp, oily starters and very expensive fishes for a regular quality. I had Turbot which cam in a very small portion (not normal in Germany) but with a lot of potatoes.... Tuna where asked week done or rear and they didnt care at all...Conclusion avoid it... (I think it is my first 1 score)

the food is ok and tasty, but the service is totally horrible, when I get a 26 euros Tuna I expected some respect. we ordered 3 big beers, got 3 small beers, we ordered water, never came the water, we had to ask twice for bread, when arriving glasses were dirty, took us good 15 mins after we finished our meals to pay and ran out after waiving to the waiter which wasn't really friendly; the staff said it was the first day for them, inst an excuse tho, we asked to pay by card wasn't possible ( ok I get in Germany isn't always allowed) , hardly will be back anyway.
