"we are coming on a tour through constanz to lunch in the exxtra. from the ambiente, it reminds of student pub: you sit on simple wooden banks related to plastic, can borrow games and just relax and drink. Moreover, you can sit outside under a large tree or above on a small balcony. To eat I had the much famous cheese cookies. here people come to their cost, who prefer to be fried crispy. I actually like both variants - crispy roasted and creamy - but for me stands and falls the dish with the used cheese variety. And I was the cheese used in exxtra too mild and taste-neutral, because the roasting nothing helps. Also the maul bags with the same salat leaflet have not convinced us a hundred percent. But with what the exxtra is at last also impresses."

This is the place where locals get spätzle, the local dish. Huge portion size, super authentic and not expensive. Will come here often.

This place was pretty good both value and food-wise and great if you're looking for a decently priced option in altstadt. Kasespatzel is the specialty here...

simple but nice economy in the heart of constancy. a bit hidden, unobstructed atmosphere. Food is freshly prepared. the service was a bit slow and cumbersome. View menu

more you don't have to say. rustic, student, surviving. Top tips at top prices. and. the best cheeses in the world, even for me as late-sleeping. but twice in the year then compulsory. in winter. otherwise: experience and enjoy

I stumbled over this place when I walked through the streets of Constance, and I am glad that we did this! we have tried beetle and apfelstrudel. really delicious and inexpensive. they also had a huge selection of board games for anyone who wanted to. the kind of place where they can relax all day, drink coffee, chat with friends and play. loved it!

we go back to the exxtra because you can eat and drink there with good music. it is also one of the not so many restaurants/bars in constanz with a smoker area.As well as the solid food there is also a changing map with small but good selection of dresses from vegetarian to meaty.Auch in the evening you can have a nice drink without having to eat something and without a critical view of the waitresses;) View menu

we visited this place during our Lake Constance Cycle Tour. it doesn't look very nice, but it was the first we found where we could get our bikes close to us, and it turned out that it was an excellent choice! waitresses were really helpful, as we don't speak German, they explained the menu in English and gave us some recommendations. I don't remember the names of what we ate: but it was brilliant, and we had a whirlpool to the dessert I loved. a few days later I tried apfelstrudel at another place and it wasn't even half as good. it was the best to eat throughout our 300 km long journey:

not many steps behind the Huss Museum is the exxtra cafe and restaurant to the left of the street in a small side street or pedestrian zone. the place is not modern, but the prices and eating are great, along with the service. you can sit outside next to the side street, inside the ground floor or upstairs or outside on the small balcony with about 8 or 10 small round tables - good for couples or singles. we tried their paprika-size meal and their coconut-curry rice meal - generous help at a fair price - budget compensation. they also serve an excellent elder (blood extract) limonade, very refreshing. since all sitting places are on the north side, the shadow on a hot summer day in constancy...

"good restaurants aren't strange to me, but this one really impressed. great service and even better eating. prices are actually quite decent for a restaurant with 2 stars. eat very well. it is very creatiw, without being excessive, and the taste combinations work well. our whole table enjoyed everything we had. the chef seems to lend himself sometimes from different ess cultures, but it is subtle and just what the court needs. Whenever I see deaf on the menu in a restaurant, I order them and I must say that the deaf at ophelia was the best I ever had. you just have to try it yourself. the prices were very decent when considering the quality of the restaurant. a 4-course menu cost 120 euro. servicesooo good! we had booked a table for 6 people but were 30 minutes too late. no problem! the staff was very friendly and assured us that the table is waiting for us whenever we come. during eating the waiters were always there, but never unpleasant. all our questions were answered both in German and in English and we felt that the waiters were really passionate about the food they served.ATMOSPHEREEOphelia lacks presumption. it is a fantastic restaurant, but they would look in a beautiful summer dress and with flat shoes not miss at the place. they do not have to dress inconveniently to experience the subtle luxury that ophelia has to offer. we also appreciated that it is a place where relatiw well educated children would feel comfortable. we sat outside on the balcony and it was idyllic. not hot, not cold – just perfect. they have a beautiful view of the lake and are surrounded by nature. I would not only recommend this restaurant, but encourage everyone to visit it!"
