"We booked a Saturday night meal recently based on recent TA reviews as we were on holiday in nearby Lavenham. First impressions were very good this is a typical country pub, nice n cosy but up to date. We were greeted warmly, shown to our table and the orders placed. We shared a starter because the waitress informed us the mains are quite large portions that's an understatement! We had the steak ale pie and steak chips as the mains, but of which were delicious. Sadly, we had no room for pudding which was a shame as they to looked lovely. All in all, a very pleasant evening in a lovely pub."

"a beautiful little café in lavenham, children really wanted a ice, and I and the woman really wanted a hot drink. on the ground floor they can take ice and sweets cakes up there are sitting opportunities if they want to take it a little more relaxed. there was no one in the café section when we left, that's just as good as an old building be a little tight when a few people in there! children loved their ice creams, one have a few different chocolates (chocolate of chocolate and one of the pots of mint chocolate and the other had a random combination (cop of cola cube and a pot of orange. it is fair to say that the orange was a big hit, with both wanting it at the end (more than the chocolate to my surprise! I've got a few tassen tee out of the pot I had, so was nice and refreshed from the time to go. great place if its not too busy, but note that it is an old place so that room is a bit tight!"

"What a gem! We unexpectedly discovered The Greyhound during our two-day stay in Suffolk, and we were thoroughly impressed. The food, drinks, and service were flawless. The tapas was so delicious that we returned the next day to try the chateaubriand, and we were not disappointed—it was top-quality meat cooked to perfection. To our delight, they also craft exceptional cocktails. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend it. Hats off to whoever has taken over The Greyhound; we really enjoyed both of our leisurely lunches there. A big thank you to the staff for taking such great care of us!"

"Large restaurant at the far end of town opposite the church. Food and prices are good. Shame about the state of the tables though apparently used in the week for arts classes. All the tables are like it so no point moving tables. Think about what the tables are actually meant for, like eating on? Shame really as the waitress was nice and the food good. Just get the tables sorted and it would be a great place. Price per person: £20–30"

"We thought the food was very good one of had the rump steak and the other had the pea risotto. Both dishes exceeded our expectations. Although there were only a few other diners in, we had to wait a long time for our order to be taken and then for the food to arrive. We didn't mind the 12.5% service charge as that's what we would have left anyway as the service was good and the staff attentive and helpful. A bit much paying that on top of drinks from the bar though!"
