Been meaning to try this place for a while and will definitely be back. Good food, excellent value for money and frequented by locals what more can I say!

Went here with my daughter for breakfast and couldn't fault it. Good value for money and the staff were more than welcoming. Will definitely be returning !!!

Friendly staff good food and reasonable price but place could do with a refit and deep clean. Oh and the bold guy needs to be better with the customers also as he can come across as quite rude.

A family run business , serving everything from Home made Icecream to Sunday lunches , Breakfasts , and Tea and coffee , Always a smile from the friendly staff , and a good sized free car park for customers .

Was grunted at when I asked for a bacon sandwich to take away, though the staff seemed very friendly to what must have been regular eldetly eaters at the establishment.Very poor customer service, then again, they do say if you pay peanuts .

Met my hubby there for lunch. I had cheese salad sandwich on brown bread. Delicious. Hubby had small beef dinner, he said the cabbage is great. Really busy and somtimes you have to que, but worth it. The owners are very friendly. It even has a car park and outside eating atea

A Porthcawl institution, and its food is good and the staff are wonderful and clearly love their jobs. But its trading on its past. This place could be such a draw..it has the same sort of legacy as the Kardomah in Swansea, and should be protected/listed in the same way, but its owners seemingly do not wish to invest, which is such a pity it could be so much more. As other reviewers have mentioned, a complete weeks close down for a deep clean and bit of TLC would work wonders. Please, please don 't let this gem just fade away, or worse be shut down due to poor hygiene and the site be 'redeveloped ' for flats.

Well reading the reviews im beginning to wonder if its the same place we visited.Had to queue which wasnt really a problem as we required a table for four.Frankly it was like being in a timewarp.It was so dated and cramped.The waitress was friendly enough took our orders we all decided on a roast lunch.The plates were small which made you look as though the meal was huge , it was enough to be fair .It was a basic mediocre roast pork lunch.Decided on desserts 2 blackcurrant tarts and custard and 2sundaes.The tart was unavailable so had what we were told was apple and blackberry but was aplle .A portion in a small dish with hot custard .had i been blindfolded id not know what it was other than...
