"It has been a few years since our last visit to the Museum, and one of the highlights was dining at the Garden Restaurant. Last week, we were looking for a light lunch and I chose the asparagus and goats cheese quiche with salads. Unfortunately, the quiche was a small piece with a broken crust and minimal cheese. Despite an impressive list of salads, there were limited options available - chickpeas (which I am allergic to) or tomato and red onion (which I dislike). The waitress seemed puzzled when I requested a different salad. In the end, I was served some wilted salad leaves. The bread roll I had was stale and may have been fresh two days prior. My husband ordered the leek and potato soup, which was tasty but came in a very small portion. While I do not recall the exact price, I do remember that it was expensive. My advice would be to dine at the Cathedral cafe instead, where the food is delicious, reasonably priced, and the staff is lovely."

Nice wee spot to relax on a sunny day away from it all. Good cuppa and tray bakes too! The flowers etc are really beautiful

We both had the quiche and salad with coffee, the food was good and tasty, but for £7.25 you are only allowed to pick 3 items from the salad bar to go with the quiche.

We had a lovely meal here for a family wedding , all of the staff were very efficient and the service was excellent. Its a good venue for evening events. Everything was well organised and we had a great night.

The staff at this restaurant are very friendly and the food is delicious and full of flavor. They always have a special cake of the day, which is a highlight, and their salads are especially tasty and made with high-quality ingredients.

nice and spacious with comfortable seat to relax with a coffee and biscuits or a meal. Toilets easy accessible next door to café. Pleasant staff and nice atmosphere. Went in there with my husband and brother for a much needed rest after being on our feet for so long in the museum.

Located within the main local museum, Tullie House, this restaurant offers a pleasant setting. There is an extra room available for events such as weddings and parties. It is a great spot for a casual lunch, coffee with cake, or tea with a scone, especially when meeting up with friends. It is rare to have trouble finding a table here.

I should like this place but I always feel a bit disappointed by the layout and having to push through what looks like a sea of chairs. It 's 'family friendly ' apart from the old dears who frequent it who would clearly like you to go somewhere else and keep the noise down,. So I always feel a bit uncomfortable there. Some staff members clearly don 't enjoy their job and are not friendly. Coffee average. Food is your average healthy offering really, needs a bit of a rethink. Jacket potatoes for kids good though, as are the traybakes.
