I loved everything about this restaurant. It's perfect for a quick stop or a relaxing weekend getaway.

Lovely place. We enjoyed a garden room (dual aspect) which was spacious and bright. The tasting menu was delightful and the gardens are beautiful. We will definitely be back.

We opted for the 10 course meal with wine pairing. There were some fantastic flavours within the dishes and the wine for each course complimented it very well. The breakfast was excellent and plenty of choice. View menu

Stayed recently for a wedding. The setting is stunning and gardens beautiful. Staff very helpful and welcoming at all times. Not a massive breakfast menu but enough to satisfy and well made. Dinner was also very good

My daughter gifted me with afternoon tea at this charming place. We arrived at lunchtime, enjoyed coffee, and explored the picturesque gardens until 3pm when we indulged in afternoon tea in the garden room and terrace. Every aspect of the experience, including the weather, was superb.

Had a great 2 course lunch in beautiful setting of the dining room at goldsborough hall. Tables well spaced out staff appeared very covid efficient. Great food. Lovely welcoming staff. My husband and I visited here on Monday 7th June for the Royal Afternoon Tea as a birthday treat. We ate in the orangery which was beautiful as is the terrace and surrounding gardens. Unfortunately the service was very slow, good job we were not in a hurry. No hot water provided with the pot of tea and had to wait ages to request more milk, etc. We were a little disappointed, especially at a cost of £35 per person. I was very glad that I had a voucher for a 50% discount.

The dining experience at this restaurant is a mix of good and not-so-good aspects. The dinners in the old dining room are excellent, while the library and lounge are beautiful spaces and the main staircase is impressive. However, the accommodations at the rear and the large room for teas and breakfasts leave something to be desired. The big room, although bright and airy, is lacking carpeting and can be noisy, as it also serves as a throughway to the back rooms. I did not have a chance to see the bedrooms in the main part of the house. We were eight for afternoon tea which was not up to scratch at all. Taken to a separate room in the building which was fine ... even though the glaring limited edition print of Sir Alex Douglas Hume on the wall provided some merriment ... but proved a let-down when came the tea in about four different pots, all under temperature. The girls who served were having a bit of a struggle with the service side of things and the cakes and sausage rolls were some tasty, some awful. The scones were actually good.
