"So worth it to meet the owners but the food is also top notch, freshly made, filling, great value and tasty. Really enjoyed coming here and we will come back with friends again! Everything was perfect. They also have fresh juices as well as traditional Portuguese food, and a couple of options like jacket potato, toastie, or full vegan breakfast if you prefer English flavours. Or just cakes if you just want a snack. All homemade stuff. Update June 2022: ate here again and it was just as lovely. Love this place! We will be back! Updated from previous review on 2022-03-26"

large small vegan caffe in hard competition with its carnivorous neighbours in the forum, wallsend market. Whether they are vegan or not, they will enjoy the freshly cooked eating here. I will visit newcastle next time.

Healthy options, cheeky options, completely gluten-free options and absolutely delicious coffee. They're on Deliveroo, and they're on their own too! We had catering for our wedding reception and it was all ate! Everyone stacked his plates up and could not get enough of the pastries and pastel de nata. Vegans and carnivores loved it.

We were in the area and needed lunch. Wow! What a lucky find. Great vegan/vegetarian options and delicious! The owner was so nice and helpful. She made everything fresh for us. Had the pumpkin soup and garlic bread and the bean stew both were excellent. We are from the U.S. and touring the UK so finding true vegan/vegetarian options is a big plus for us! Thanks Goreti!! I visited Goreti today at the Wallsend Market. It was lunch time and I was hoping for something more exciting than my customary toast based meal. The food I purchased (croquette, empanada and rice pudding) was some of the most delicious food I've had in a long time. Beautiful flavours and textures and in particularly the rice pudding was heavenly! I simply must have more!

Visited Goreti for lunch with a friend and was so impressed. I had a delicious cheese, pesto and tomatoe toastie and my friend had the mango curry. We both had the lovely freshly squeezed juice. The owners were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful and were clearly passionate about Portuguese food. I took some of their chocolate orange bundt cake home and that was amazing too. Will definitely go back lots more dishes to try at very reasonable prices. Updated from previous review on 2022-05-27

"The place seems unprofessionally run. The staff all look like they could do with a bath. No overalls are worn and their clothes are all of the type that many would wear to lounge around the house in . Several have longer hair and beards but don’t wear any kitchen p.p.e. The decor is shabby and I wondered what kind of hygiene rating they would have. Although not busy, the staff seemed to be disorganised, falling over eachother and lacking in training. They seemed to handle the food in an inexperienced, clumsy fashion. The only tool I saw being used was a pizza peel for taking the pizza in and out of the oven. On all other occasions the food was handled. I didn’t notice any hand washing or alcohol gel in evidence. The menu is quite limited and uninspiring. 2 of the 6 pizza choices include chicken which Italians would argue is definite no no! All pizzas are reheated to order which eliminates the possibility of customisation. I don’t believe the restaurant would stand out in many European countries, as pizza in general is of a much higher standard than that in the UK. In spite of the above, The basic pizza is excellent in taste (even though it is all re-heated). And for this reason it is worth a visit. Compared to other uk pizza restaurants which are typically serving absolute garbage, the food is way out in front. If you can tolerate the negatives I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with the pizza. However with a bit of effort, this place could be transformed into something truly amazing."
