"There are a lot of info in the previous reviews, so I'll add some tips for those who do not speak German or speak a little.Even though we do speak German it is really hard to understand what to order. Because it is not clearly what you'll receive at the end. *As this is self-service restaurant, we were looking in a line what others were ordering and asked them about a name of a dish. *You can always order herring (Matias). Just say on the cash desk "Matias for you choice" and you receive incredibly tasty herring with trimmings.*There is a show case where fish and seafood are laying in the ice. Personnel is very friendly, so you can show what do you want.*Portions are big.*Bar should be paid separately.*The best advise would be - attentively look around for the local and do what they are doing :) P.S. Albeit, the best advise is - occupy a table first if the restaurant if overcrowded :)"

You can get a glass of Sekt. Busy, service moves quickly. Great location after a walk along the North Sea.

Self-service affordable restaurant with great views and delicious fresh seafood. Perfect for lunch after a long walk on the sandy beaches. We'll definitely return.

This Fish Restaurant belongs to a chain of good Fish Restaurants, in summer time often very crowded. The quality is acceptable given the fact that the kitchen has to handle massive orders. Pricing is acceptable, but no bargain View menu

Great outdoor patio with screened in seating as well as "Strandkorb" seating. Lively indoor bar/restaurant. The menu is large as is the drink menu. Food is local fresh fish as well as other regional delicacies, all prepared in an open kitchen type setting. This fun beach location can't be passed up for the fun of it!

This restaurant wants to give itself an upscale flair but is nothing more than a fastfood restaurant. The food itself was not bad it was average quantity over quality. There is no service and you have to wait to order your food... all in all poor you can get better food for similar prices elsewhere and be served by friendly waiters...

Went there on a busy weekend and was very kindly well welcomed. You have to find your own seat. Get your own food and drinks. Menu at the wall only in German :/. They have menu in English thou just ask for it.The portions are plenty and fresh. Would never hesitate to pop over for a bite again. 4 adults with complementary drinks for 55€. View menu

We went twice to Gosch for a quick lunch and dinner. Though it is a self service restaurant (you order at the counter and take your food with you) the quality of the food (and fish) is very good. You can have a plate full of sea food for a reasonable price. The style is not only maritime but very northern and relaxed. You can easily make a quick stop there after a long walk at the beach, after shopping in the nearby center or simply to have a sea food dinner.

I wish every casual dining/eating was as good and efficient as these guys. The Gosch chain is quite famous in Germany for the quality and freshness of the food. The place, on the beach as St.Peter Ording is a treat in itself, a very interesting view of a quite different beach (I'm from Brazil, a "different beach" is a very good compliment).Do try the fantastic scallops (Jacobsmuschel) the local tiny shrimps in various versions and enjoy the beer.Than go for a long walk on the beach, clear the head of the beer. Come back late afternoon and start all over again. :-)
