"We are from puglia living in UK and we all know Polignano is a great small town with incredible food. We found this restaurant by chance. They describe them-self as fine cousin on the entrances display. We took a chance, “ come on we are in polignano, should be good”. Unfortunately the food was far from fine and the quality wasn’t good. I ordered a tris of fish tartan, tuna was good, salmon wasn’t good at all and the third one had no taste, couldn’t recognise it. My wife, also, ordered “raw fish antipasti”. The octopus was cut in a very strange manner, thin sliced generally you would expect it cubed as in the octopus salad) a bit hard and chewy. Salmon wasn’t good, we left it all. As main course I ordered “paccheri pasta) with scampi and kind of vegs”. Pasta was extremely hard As Italian I know “al dente”, that wasn’t that) and strangely not smooth as shape, the scampi were not even cut in half, so I needed to open them, which is not fine as the hard bits of the shelf can end up in the dish. Those Scampi, need to be cut in half on the stomach part of the “fish”. The vegs were extremely oiled, the all dish was oiled submerged. My wife had, a stake tuna, which leaned on a salad leave. It was chewy and not nice to eat. The service was ok. We only had 1 waiter asking “how was the fish” and although my wife complained, nobody else came to ask more about it, like nothing happened. At the and of the dinner, which didn’t came cheap, nobody, again, asked about the dinner nor offer a discount or a shot of limoncello to name one), even to pretend an apologise."
