this is an amazing little restaurant that serves pork as well as they will ever find it! make sure they bring their lipitor, because they do not save on juice. for its special customers, the owner josef even keeps a bottle with something special under the counter ready. it is a must if they are in the old town of düsseldorf.

I visited josef after a long sightseeing holiday and had hungry. this place is the kind of restaurant that does a thing and makes it good. do not go if they are not in the mood for a meal with meat and kartoffels. it's a great value for money - I got a hammock with sour wort and pommes for under 7 euro and it was all very delicious. very recommended! this is a small dining area with some seating outdoors. the food was cheap, it was 8 € for a schweinshaxe, 4.5 € for a half grilled chicken, a few euro for this and that. we had ordered a lot! 2 order sashshaxe, grilled chicken, spare ribs, pommes, ofenkartoffel, sour wort and beer and soft drinks! the pork was soft, but the skin was not as crispy as in frankfurt. everything was nice, the sour wort and potatoes tasted fresh and the food was not too salty as usual German dishes. good place if you don't want to spend too much!

this etablissement is a glorious firm for everything concerning meat. there could be vegetarian options on the menu, but I doubt it. if they are more vegan and enter a place that thinks so beautiful that he has said twice, they will be on the way to an annoying disappointment. everything on the menu looked pretty good, so we chose the meat plate for 2. more like a meat plate for a poor one. it was a tortur to come through this beast, and we sweated at the end, but it was sooo good. so many types of delicious grilled meat. I was quite grateful for the small side dish with salate, herbalate and be bored, it relieved the debt a little. we went away really happy!
