"Just had a great lunch in the cosy quiet corner of the bar! Plenty of undisturbed space, tables and sockets if you need to work Had the bar/box lunch. It was great! It actually came in a stylish wooden box. I went for the Mediterranean option with house white. Nicely presented, tasty and short waiting time! A beautifully grilled salmon, with peppered mash, veg, a salad and an indulgent chocolate mousse. All for only 25 quid, and that in a 5 star hotel. Loved it!"

Bar folks weren’t wearing masks and saw one of them lick a stirrer.

The drinks were great and strong. A little on the pricey side so just know that before ordering a lot.

we went there expecting a business lunch, but it's basically a hotel reception (albeit a nice one) the place caters for afternoon tea or brunch. Food service OK.

Tucked away in the back of an ordinary looking London hotel, The Hamptons is a very sophisticated and suarve cocktail bar serving everything from Veuve Cliquot to Old Speckled Hen. And not only that you can have a perfectly presented light bite served with satyle and panache. A truely wonderful place.

When I first arrived I went to the bar to try and procure a drink. I was told to take a seat and someone would be with me shortly. After sitting with my friend for around 10 minutes we have a gentleman ask us if we have been served. We say no. He asks our nationality. Instead of taking our order he goes to get someone else to tell us to leave.

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
