"An optically attractive small space in a relatively powerful hotel, Hilty Stubli seems to suffer from a confusion of purpose. The hotel has a much larger dining room nearby, which is more neutrally decorated, while this adjoining room is designed to have a traditional style chalet look, but the menus are (we believe) the same. This Swiss room has a menu with a very wide selection of options as well as a completely separate pan Asian restaurant that will be handed over to you with the main menu. This Asian menu has small selection of Chinese, Indonesian, Indian, Vietnamese, Thai, etc. Food that creates a confusion with the theme of the room decoration. Is this a restaurant that specializes in excellent Swiss cuisine or a Swiss-looking restaurant that strolls in every variety of dishes? That said the quality of the food we had was pretty good. First, the ingredients used were of good quality, the presentation of the dishes was thoughtful and the service was professional and yet friendly (although they all ran over quite vivid). Above all, how was the taste? One of us had the homemade pasta with local cheese, friend onions and small potatoes thinking fantasy Mac and cheese and it was fantastic. Very tastefully and appetizingly presented, it also came with a side dish of seasoned apple slices, which seemed a strange pairing, but combined with the pasta to create a unique taste. Very recommended. The other one of us had a cheese fondue that was appropriate. Served with traditional steamed potatoes and bread, it lacked taste (too fair, this was the mild version unlike the spicy version, but the cheese itself should have a remarkable taste). A solid fondue, but no reason to come to this restaurant. We looked at the other dishes from the kitchen, and they looked routinely of high quality, including, yes, even those from place Asian. These, like the courts we had, were also all generous size, so filling. Also note that the serving time was slow, what the menu itself lets you know in advance, they notice that everything is done only when the order is submitted, and so give yourself time to enjoy a drink while waiting for food. So the summary would be that this is a solid restaurant with a menu with something for everyone, but a confusing mix of Swiss and not Swiss."

Delicious! We opted for a number of specials off the newly released autumn menu which were superb traditional Swiss food, very well executed highly recommended!

We wanted a very light supper. The hash brown frittata like dish we had bacon and fried egg version) called roesti was delectable. So large we could not finish it.

The worst experience because it didn't even happen. Due to a glick in their own online reservation system, they denied us a reservation in the restaurant and treated the situation in an inappropriate and rude way. You should have called as a response, but why do you even have an online booking system. Avoid using all possible means.

You can can get fondue and roesti here, but it is actually done well. This cosy little restaurant is part of the Hotel Kirchbuel, where you can find two other restaurants in the same building. I enjoyed the onion soup made with local beer, as a bit of a creative twist on French Onion soup which would normally be cooked in white wine.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Grindelwald. The mixed grill, rusti and filled veal fillet were all excellent and well composed by an extensive wine card. Some surprisingly raised elements, including perfectly grilled vegetable sides and dishes served by a team of Waitstaff under claws. Toblerone mousse for Dessert was enormous and delightful.

I won't lie, I wasn't excited to eat cheese fondue, but my girlfriend insisted that we go to this restaurant and I'm glad that she did because the food and service were both absolutely amazing! The wine wasn't bad either! I cannot remember the name of the server, but it was incredibly patient and helpful with the menu. We showed up early on our reservation, but Sebastian, the server in La Marmite (which is another fantastic choice for food), let us sit on the terrace and even served us drinks before they were opened. We will return 10/10 to this place when we travel back to Switzerland! Thank you.
