"I visited the Humble grape with my man to celebrate our 11-year anniversary. the restaurant opened around 12, and our booking was for 12.30, so we were the only patrons, so had the full attention of the waiter who was beautiful. our waiter allowed us to try the wein we chose before we bought a bottle. he also brought a rehearsal of a wein she had recommended. his suggestion was excellent. we drank this wein with our appetizer who was a baked cadre with sourdough bread. my man chose a collection of appetizers. the honey sausage was great. the buratta was extraordinary. the halloumi-appetiser, while good, did not seem to be very special beside the other two. I chose the black bell. it was lovely. wonderfully cooked, and not too much fat. also the bed of chard was beautiful, and it is teerness supplements the meat well. after dinner or server hit a nice reisling. the gentle sweet would have been the perfect end of the meal. but we decided to blow ourselves with dessert. the madeleines with lemon curd were fresh and beautiful. the baked cheesecake was also beautiful. overall I had a really nice experience and would book again for a special occasion."

Really nice atmosphere with great food and wine. Service was top notch, very attentive but also allowed us to enjoy our company. Thank you.

As soon as we arrived, we had the impression you wanted to leave as quickly as possible. We were given the cheque without asking for it. The waiters were not welcoming.

beautiful, attentive staff and great wein, but the Sunday roast was very bad. Microwave chain pub quality food that costs around £80 for two people. I'd come back after work, but here it won't eat again. View menu

Wines are expensive . Wine tasting was best value . One wine not available but replaced . Wouldn’t go back for the money . Atmosphere was lacking and sat by door which kept on being left open by others .

I had to change the booking a couple of times and the staff replied very quickly to my emails and were very accommodating. Friendly professional service during the meal. The meal itself 3 course Christmas menu was delicious. Overall a wonderful experience. We will now put the Humble Grape on our list of go to restaurants. View menu

I have heavy food allergies and regularly eat in restaurants where fresh food typically ensures that they can be supplied. the waitress understood my allegiance clearly and was helpful. After I had eaten some of the beside dishes, I just answered what was included, as it was in order for me as after their Allergen chart. then I discovered that the salate contained weeping. She removed the court. it could have been very serious for me, and I had to make urgent adjustments. I received no apology from everyone in the restaurant. the chef was clearly oriented to only come home. I assume there are risks, but this restaurant fell on a long way short and it is the first time that I have ever experi...
