"We ate here tonight and didn't regret it. Being honest we wandered the streets looking for a restaurant with space and came across this one. When we sat down there were only a couple of tables taken but by the time we left it was nearly full. It's definitely a proper family run restaurant. The presumed owner was front of house with possibly his wife and maybe one of their parents in the kitchen. When it got busy their daughter was also helping out. There were no menus per say but this was provided at the table by the owner. It was a small menu of fish dishes depending on what they had available that day. We both went for the gnocchi in a crab sauce. The food arrived on a sharing plate to self serve onto our own plates. It was very tasty and the whole meal was very reasonably priced. All the staff at the restaurant worked very hard as were constantly rushed off their feet. You could tell that the food was freshly cooked which is why it took a while to come out but it was worth it. Worth checking out if you're not in a rush."

another excellent dinner: quality and freshness of the food from the first to the dessert.... besides the usual hospitality. . . A restaurant to try for a dinner of real fresh fish and in tranquility

simple but beautiful place. the fish and all fresh and good and the kind and competent holder. I took a first and split an apartment. the portion of the first was full and satisfying, and the fried well clean and good. Good.

The food is good but the service is chaotic. There is a huge traffic jam in the evening around the bridge, and almost no parking spots either before or after the bridge. If you order fish, it will take forever to make it and children will be exhausted. Do no tecommend it to families unless you can walk on foot there, and artive when kitchen opens, 7.30, because they do make the food for the kids (pasta) faster. View menu

We were arriving from Florence by car and we were looking for a restaurant with good qualifications in TripAdvisor (at least 4,5). This one has and I don't know why!!!!! The menu is poor with a few options, and the service is very bad. We were four, and they brought the first plate and 5 minutes after the second plate, 15 minutes after the third plate and finally the fourth plate was 20 minutes after the 1st one!!!! Also the portions are little, they don't have desserts and they did not have available all the options of the menu. Awful experience! There is no way that they have 4.5 stars.

we were at the bastion three times. every time a surprise, quality and imagination reign supreme. fish and meat according to the goths, never a sin to signal, always everything correct. Starting from appetizers, varied and never too intrusive, it continues with first, classic and/or delicious, then the second (directly difficult to reach,) quite important and complex, finally the variety of sweets of the house always reliable. Finally, but not less important, the economic treatment, dependent on selected drinks (the wine card is updated,) but always what you would expect to find. Thank you. We will definitely come back!

"My husband and I took the train from Rapallo to La Spezia because we had read about andree. We are so glad that we did. We chose the three course lunch and liked that there were so many options for each course. Once we experienced the food and the perfect wine pairings, we can say that the quality/price ratio was outstanding. My husband saw beef and oysters on the menu, but since we don’t eat meat, Chef Andrea kindly prepared an extra off menu appetizer for him of three raw oysters. Our ordered appetizers were sweet succulent mussels in a velvety cauliflower cream sauce and a delicious artichoke heart with almonds and Castelmagno cheese. For our pasta course we chose the calamarta pasta with black eyed peas and rosemary and the tagliolini with clams both were delicious. For our secondi piatti my husband ordered the red mullet with broccoli, anchovies, pistachios, and a light orange sauce, while I chose today’s catch, which was amberjack wrapped in chard. We switched plates midway, and we were hard pressed to say which was better, because both were fantastic. Each of the courses was paired beautifully with lovely wines from small production vineyards. Unfortunately, we lingered too long over each course and realized after we had ordered dessert that we only had 30 minutes to catch our train back to Rapallo. They insisted that we eat dessert while they called us a cab, and while we wolfed it down (instead of savoring it the way we would have liked to), we only saw after we got back that they never charged us for dessert. Chef Andrea is an extremely talented chef and a warm and generous man who genuinely wants his diners to enjoy his food. What a pleasure it was to briefly make his acquaintance and to have the opportunity to experience this exquisite lunch."
