We ate here when we first arrived at the hotel and were treated to attentive, five star service. My husband and I tried the seafood and land sampler menus and had quite a bit of fun doing so the lightly fried cod was especially...delicious. Good food but even better views and service :

I recommend this restaurant! nello and salvatore were amazing to work. it was our slumber week and they treated us like a king and queen. he gave us best sitting on the terrace with probably the best view I saw. the food was...absolutely delicious. very tasteful and portioning are great so they are not too full for the next cure. good every penny worth! we had not as good as you eat for our entire stay in italy! go back. Abbiamo mangiato al ristorante il Gabbiano e siamo rimasti pienamente soddisfatti sotto ogni punto di vista. Ottima accoglienza; personale assolutamente cordiale e discreto. L 'atmosfera che si respira è veramente rilassante, soprattutto alla vista di uno splendido panorama che affaccia su Sorrento. I piatti che ci sono stati preparati erano squisiti, in particolare i famosi 'Spaghetti alla Nerano '. Vale sicuramente la pena recarsi in questo bellissimo ristorante se si vuole passare una serata particolare. Consigliato senza alcun dubbio.

Me and my husband ate here on Wednesday evening. We arrived just after sunset and were seated on the terrace that had breathtaking views over the sorrentine peninsula. The food was excellent, beautifully presented and delicious. I'm not normally a dessert person but I couldn't...resist the devine dessert and I'm pleased that I didn't! Thankyou to Nello and Raffaele and all the staff for their excellent service! The after dark view as we left the restaurant was spectacular and this was a perfect evening, would highly recommend we will definitely be returning!

we visited il gabbiano as family of four to celebrate my 21st birthday. when we arrived, we were shown to a nice table outside, but unfortunately 15 minutes in the evening the wind began to blow and we had to go in. People...all should always be judged about how they deal with things when they go wrong and salvatatore and his team were amazing! they offered us simply the best service we had in sorrento, and could not do enough for us. Connect that with the fact that eating was great and good value also and you can see why we don't hesitate to il gabbiano recommend to anyone who wants a special time.
