"A vegan and a meatlover went out for diner and ended up in this little restaurant in an unattractive street in La Spezia. We were seated in the courtyard. The ambiance is relaxed. The amiable waiter explained the menu, which consisted of various vegan and vegetarian dishes. Do not expect thirteen to a dozen dishes. The cook uses fresh ingredients and makes surprising combinations. I could not choose, so we shared a starter and shared three main dishes. Tempura vegetables, including zucchini flowers, crispy veggieburger, a mushroom dish with vegetable cream excellent food! The size of the portion was enough, for us. We did not try the wine, but we had an IPA beer (not seen often in Italy). When we asked for the bill, we were in shock: what a cheap price for all the food we had, made with fresh ingredients! We also got some homemade limoncello for free! The next day we wanted to come back, unfortunately they were fully booked. You might have to call ahead for a reservation."

A rare pearl in the area of La Spezia. Very nice place, friendly staff. Some bear are noteworthy as appetizers, brought in a rectangular dish in 4 different proposals. Great fusillon with black cabbage pesto with roquefort, really delicious.

we especially enjoyed the mixed starter plate with panzanella (bread salad), arancini (fried rice-mushroom-potato ball), fried sage-chickpea puffers and guacamole pepper boat, which was very yummy and flavorful. They veganized it for us, as they usually use original arancini (with cheese filling). They offer a few vegan options, if not labeled, just ask the friendly staff, which will explain every dish in detail All in all foods where pretty heavy in carbs, we received an amuse bouche (yummy) made from chickpea flour, the mixed starter which consisted of rice, dough, bread and bread as a side Main dish was pasta (most of their dishes contain pasta) as well. I was missing the option of a to...

"My husband and I took the train from Rapallo to La Spezia because we had read about andree. We are so glad that we did. We chose the three course lunch and liked that there were so many options for each course. Once we experienced the food and the perfect wine pairings, we can say that the quality/price ratio was outstanding. My husband saw beef and oysters on the menu, but since we don’t eat meat, Chef Andrea kindly prepared an extra off menu appetizer for him of three raw oysters. Our ordered appetizers were sweet succulent mussels in a velvety cauliflower cream sauce and a delicious artichoke heart with almonds and Castelmagno cheese. For our pasta course we chose the calamarta pasta with black eyed peas and rosemary and the tagliolini with clams both were delicious. For our secondi piatti my husband ordered the red mullet with broccoli, anchovies, pistachios, and a light orange sauce, while I chose today’s catch, which was amberjack wrapped in chard. We switched plates midway, and we were hard pressed to say which was better, because both were fantastic. Each of the courses was paired beautifully with lovely wines from small production vineyards. Unfortunately, we lingered too long over each course and realized after we had ordered dessert that we only had 30 minutes to catch our train back to Rapallo. They insisted that we eat dessert while they called us a cab, and while we wolfed it down (instead of savoring it the way we would have liked to), we only saw after we got back that they never charged us for dessert. Chef Andrea is an extremely talented chef and a warm and generous man who genuinely wants his diners to enjoy his food. What a pleasure it was to briefly make his acquaintance and to have the opportunity to experience this exquisite lunch."
