"We decide to eat at the refuge for 2 reasons, once 4-5 years ago, in motion, I stopped to eat and the memory teased me, the second reason why my friend, lover of the mountain, always spoke very well. We start from the province of Fermo, roads and roads inside, in Ascoli we follow the navigator that makes us pass to Castel Trosino, then Valle Castellana and then again Ceppo, a place of little more than a dozen dwellings, winding road, disconnected and who more has it put. We enter and begin to taste the specialties, a second as appetizer, mushrooms in 3/4 different ways, very good, then ravioli stuffed and seasoned by mountain grasses, wild boar dumplings, then still sheep in callara, wild boar, lamb in the roasted potatoes, fried, vegetables and salad, the good tiramisu....si thought much to have eaten too much, so much, so much In the evening everything digested very well. I recommend going to the refuge.... it is worth it"

Eat discreet... very slow service, quite indisposable waitress, contour brought 40 minutes after the second of meat, useless to say that I brought it back, same thing at the table behind... I will not return for sure.

Quiet day small walk and then at the table.... Rustic environment but captivating porcini in all ways: carpaccio, fritti, trifolati, arrosto and then fettuccine and ravioli..... I mean, we took off the urge! Honest price.... We'll be back.

Mrs. Concetta together her daughter were extraordinary, special welcome I highly recommend her, not to mention the wonderful courses and tasting of mushrooms, wild boar and sheep that were to say little wonderful.... We are organizing as soon as possible to return

dinner with friends, we were in 13! we try this restaurant of porcini mushrooms, we make menu from 30€ the porcini a disgusting I do not tell you, these do not know how to cook! the pasta (tagliatelle and excellent gnocchi) but the porcini really to forget the plastic dessert you stay away from this restaurant View menu

We had lunch in this place with a group of friends after a walk in one of the paths of Ceppo. Very welcoming place as the staff. We chose a full lunch and from appetizers to dessert the level was very high. Cutlery to the homemade mushrooms simply exquisite. Lamb and Strap idem. Highly recommended to those who like to eat authentic rustic at good price. We'll definitely come back.

A nice day until we sat at the table. The poor food waiter not to mention the lamb served after 50' super heated of cooked at least three months before... An endlessly cleansing gross that leaves the time it finds.... I am disappointed and cherished because instead of being a refuge of flavors for me it was the refuge of horror. Of course we're not going anymore. PS the price abundantly out of every logic.

In Abruzzo for holiday we decide to go to eat in this small refuge. Entering you feel right at home, surrounded by flavors and scents that know about home. We order an appetizer, two first, and three seconds. Well, that's good. Pecora to the callara that reminded us of our childhood in the valleys of Abruzzo. Good quality/price. I came to this restaurant by chance. I wanted lamb and the lady tells me there was baked in the oven. Fine and I order a portion of it. At the first taste I immediately realize that it had not been cooked in the morning but simply heated in the pan and served. I don't say it was unfailing, but in a restaurant these things don't happen. I didn't say anything at the moment not to spoil my beautiful day in nature but how I came home the first thing I did is to write this review. Merit.

I read reviews about this place that's offensive and unfounded. If you do not know the mountain, the dignified life of simple and essential people, stay at home. Here you eat well, indeed, excellently. Here you are a paying guest welcomed as a family and if you are unable to grasp this rarity, eat in 5 star city restaurants where you pay management, maintenance costs as well as product quality. Quality that you find here a rarity A quality of grandmother's cuisine. Homemade dishes with quality products. I recommend this place to those who know how to appreciate good food and put aside the claim to be served as if you were pharaohs. Pretend to stay at your house and you just have to sit down...

"One evening we where on the way to an recommended place, but it was closed. Also it was quit late, so we searched for a restaurant and we found this place. It was a cosey place, also when it was already quit cold outside. The waiter reacted quit fast and took our orders and was also able to give me an recommendation, because the kitchen run out of tuna. The dishes we had at our first visit, pesce spada, pasta and some antipasto i cant remember was good, the pasta with onions was really good so good that I had to smuggle some onions with me in the plane. When we visited this place the second time, it was a total flow. We tried the antipasto arancio, which wasn't that nice, we had also a pizza marinara as an starter and the marinara was more a less a biscotto with tomato on top. I really have to say, that I eat marinara quit often because for me, it is the best pizza, if it is well made. The rest of our dishes where okay, but nothing special. So the total opposite of our first visit. Also the waiter was at this time not that attentively to us, like in the first and there where not more customers. So I really do not know what I should think about this place, one time the staff and food was good, the second time it was only disappointing. For the people who sit in front of the menu and think about the antipasto arancio, what could it be? It is just a plate with mixed antipasto, even if they serve very tasty marinated oranges with the pesce spada."
