"After an interim of more than month we have visited Kushi-Tei yesterday again as a party of four. On a Saturday night it was a surprise for us to find tables empty, however we quickly learnt why. Surprisingly sashimi was not available on this...evening but sushi was and we ordered a comprehensive meal of different dishes and then we got a school of patience. From time to time one of the ordered dishes arrived at the table but in a misterious and unpredictable sequence and arbitrary interval. And the dishes were partially cold when a hot dish was expected. Not many of the dishes tasted like they should. Fish was overdone, vegetables were not thoroughly cooked, sauces have been made from instant or were just tastless probably from plain water and the frying oil had a strong and bad smell. The dishes we did not like have been e.g. Edamame, Miso-shiru Suppe, Karubi-yaki Beefsteak, Saba Makrele, Mixed Tempura, Agedashi Tofu in Brühe and Sanmateriyaki-Don. The Sake had a cursory nonlasting taste while the espresso did not earn its name. The sordid sanitary installations deserve an extra accentuation, After having come back home we needed to change clothes and take a shower immediately because of the bad odour from the frying oil."

Great food, very friendly staff. The food is so delicious, we had a couple of different grilled food on sticks. The tuna tatar is the best, just wow. If you like traditional food in a nice atmosphere, you have to go there.

Just the best recommendadtions. Very nice staff, even when they mixed up our order, they were very sorry and nice. The food was very good and it was so much.. The portions were big and for a very reasonable price. A lovely place.

outside japans the best I had so far. they serve a great selection of grilled, fried, cooked, and excellent sushi. the taste is not as boring as in most Asian restaurants in Germany. I also often see Japanese guests showing my impression about the real traditional eating. began to go there at least once a month! View menu

I was recommended by my Japanese friend and have visited couple of times since. Every time we were satisfied. Sushi, chicken yakitori, beef and fish dishes, all are very good and authentic! Waiters are friendly and you can see the smiling face of the chef...and hear they saying arigadou when you are leaving with a satisfactory stomach

the midday offers offer an excellent value for money, but I found the food in order. Perhaps the grilled things are better and worth a try, but the lunch katsu is crispy, but much too thick and hard to eat. meat is also quite dry. strict standards, but since Japanese eating is simple, the execution must be exactly right and that was not. I will try again in the future. View menu

one of my Japanese favorite restaurants here in a little bit - try their speciality kushiyaki from the wood charcoal grill (spoke, I love all kinds, but especially lamb and cheese) apart from that, small Japanese dishes are also good and they will never be disappointed. the service is fast and friendly (of course the japans is proud) and around the tress area there is always a lively amount of local jappies that meet to evening drinks.

I was very surprised by how nicely the food was served, it was arranged like fine dining. If I would eat here again, I would choose Menu (Menu starting at EUR) because itself the meat dish is small portion and comes with no side...dish. I ordered grilled tuna steak with avocado (which came with only slices) for EUR without side dish. My friends ordered beef steak which came with only slices and they were really salty. Otherwise very tasty! The service could be faster though but overall nice and pleasant.

"Indian restaurants are becoming almost as ubiquitous in Munich as Italian restaurants lately, or so it would seem. So why did I give this one get 5 stars? In part because Yelp doesn't allow for half star ratings and I didn't feel right giving four after my wonderful dinner experience there and the excellent meals my guy has had there before me. Kamasutra is close to his work and we had dinner here after him and work friends raved about this place for lunch. They've only been open for about three months but it's a regular lunch stop for them now. One thing I noticed early on, they do not take shortcuts. Great care is put into food and service. The menu is varied, good selection of wine and cocktails too. Service was friendly and attentive from start to finish. The interior is more modern and sleek than most Indian resto's. But what about the FOOD? We were in curry heaven. I had a jumbo shrimp curry and he had a chicken vindaloo. Sauces for both were rich, had complex, nuanced flavors and were not greasy or oily. And when they say spicy, they mean spicy, so for those of you lamenting the lack of proper spice level, make your way here NOW. If you don't want your curry toned down for the German palate, do have some here. Lovely garlic naan, very generous serving of good basmati. Delicious mango cream for dessert and real chai that wasn't syrupy sweet. Kamasutra is a real gem and a welcome addition to Munich."
