"we have been visiting the jolly for years as it is our local. a table for 4 at 2:30 am for Sunday dinner. was told in the coming, there was no more roast! then said there was a 40-minute waiting for dinner. the pub was busy, but. without my full and there were many employees. we chose from the normal menu and eating was nice, have to wait almost 40 minutes, which we did not make. in consideration of the number of employees we were not asked about desserts or coffee, although a worker heard saying that they had fled from the milk, so no hot drinks were available! we have always had ingenious food and service, but unfortunately we felt a bit black today. we felt that we had gone, nobody asked us if it was good or if we needed something else. I really hope the dinge will be sorted out, we love this pub. only very shocked when the roasted were all gone at 2:30! my man was very disappointed as it is his birthday!"

we went to the jolly fish to the pub lunchtime. it was quite busy, but we sat and our order immediately took from the beautiful jess. our meals 2 adults and 2 children quickly arrived, good portions, and we all ate this. We were supervised by those during the meal. we will definitely come back!

Nice pub lunch, but note the « small » vegetarian roast lunch option advertised doesn’t exist. They charge only the « large » price (which is relatively reasonably priced, and the portion they serve is normal portion not large, which is nice so you don’t leave with a food coma). here on a Friday night after 18 holes on nazeing golf course immersed and found it really busy. we had a table booked and were quickly shown by the friendly bar staff. be a good choice of beer that went well and were served very efficiently while we decided to eat. the food was hot, well presented and very tasty and cheap, so would recommend a visit if in the opposite.

A fantastic pub to end our hike day. Very friendly service, tasty and large lunch servings as well as a nice atmosphere. Can't ask for much more than that for a local pub. It was a good discovery. this is a really nice village pub, with a great atmosphere. we went to lunch today and had something really delicious, my mother was particularly impressed with the cheesecake! the child menu is also for small and very generous portions. everyone was really friendly and welcoming and we had fantastic table service from jess, who was really attentive and made sure we were happy with everything. would definitely recommend!

Roast beef dinner was ordered, roast potatoes underdone and inedible, couple of slices of thinly sliced beef and absolutely the tiniest amount of veg, although I was excited to find the small floret of broccoli which was the size of a walnut. I did also see about a quarter of a carrot sliced but that was about it on the veg front. We did complain about the potatoes and 6 more small pieces were brought to the three of us which were still as bad. I liked the yorky and the gravy. Sad to say I thought it was a very disappointing roast for £12.95. The pudding was really nice though, i had a sticky toffee pudding with ice cream, it was a good portion.
