"We have just enjoyed a fantastic one night stay here at the Kilchrennan Inn. The room (3) was so nice and well equipped, the bonus being was that it didn’t have a television. The staff are so helpful and attentive, we eat lunch, dinner and breakfast which were all superb. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had in a very long while. The location is off the beaten track but it’s well worth the drive to find this little gem of a place. If your looking for a lovely quiet night or two away with great Scottish hospitality you’ll not be disappointed. We’ll certainly be back."

it is a fairly long single track road to come to this place, but the trip is good worth taking, as the food and service were both top class, the environment are warm and welcoming as the workers, I will certainly be back

ate twice and at both locations were very satisfied. beer are great, seafood excellent, the best snuggle for meils. lamb was delicious, and the bill did not make a hole in the credit card. Loved the 'satisfied 'vacant sign for the toilets!

We always visit the Kilchrenan Inn when we stay in Taynuilt. Went last night and as always was fabulous. It is a cosy and welcoming place tastefully decorated. It was full and has a relaxed friendly atmosphere. The staff are lovely and the food is...excellent. Highly recommend it and look forward to our next visit. Thanks again guys.

Again the food and ambience of this Inn hit the right spots ! The menu is local and the choice of starters mains and desserts is good but not overwhelming . The cooking is deft and delicious. The service is swift, laid -back and friendly....A good family evening where everything was just as it should be! We will be back to sample the Sunday lunch ! View menu

The service at this restaurant was exceptional from beginning to end. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and professional, making us feel right at home. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy. The best part was that the restaurant is very dog-friendly, which was greatly appreciated. Thanks for a wonderful evening! I can't wait to return.

Passed by chance, we stopped in this beautiful trattoria. Relaxed environment, friendly staff, varied and appealing menu. We chose an hour on tartar cream and vegetables, stylus and burgers, accompanied by an excellent local beer. We closed with delicious desserts: on all the cream with berries and cardamom and almond cake. The cook is French and this is understood at the first taste. Scottish cuisine is tasty but hardly knows how to propose raw materials worked with this skill. That the Scots don't want to...

"On our last day here, killing time before the ferry, decided to try luncheon here. No expectations either way. And we were TOTALLY wowed it was just excellent. Trying not to put too many superlatives in this review, but it was really, really ace. We had a lovely table by the window overlooking the harbour where you could see dog walkers, children in wellies, crabbing, and little boats coming and going. Classic Islay. Then I have to mention the food. Jeez, it was top notch, and huuuuuuuge portions. I don’t think we’ve ever had four such consistently generous and fulfilling portions before. We had the scallops (massive, juicy, plentiful , the Crofter’s Platter, which was cheeses, hams, sausage rolls, salad, bread, chutneys; the soup massive bowl, loadsa crispy sourdough bread, and the fish and chips which was so big it draped over the plate! All delicious. Our guy, Andrew, was superb, so attentive and smiley and always bringing us more things, spoons, drinks, more bread, spoons, he was great. And we had a lovely chat with the very friendly and nice proprietor. She was wonderful. Really seemed to care about the place and her team. She told us all about the hotel and stuff it was really cool. We will most certainly come back here next time. You can’t necessarily get the best table every time, but we won’t mind if we don’t! : Oh, also, lovely clean loos!"
