"we were not here for about yrs so decided to stop at lunch. extremely quiet when we arrived on a Friday. because we haven't got a fan of caves, especially since Kovid arrived, we ordered mint and dumplings from the main menu. When they arrived, they were brought into the karge opposite and the chef called to come and veg. we went very hesitant and did not guess, because at this time there were quite few waiting to serve. the veg was lukewarm and inconspicuous, the mint and the emptying was in order. we will not return. we went through the winter garden and the sanitizer was empty. a once thriving place, now with mediocre eating. what a shame"

Good darling. Only £5 update: I have heard that there are new owners. Don't worry about weekdays and it's more expensive.

Since it has reopened, we have dined here quite a few times. The standard of food is always excellent, with a warm welcome. There is always a good choice for vegetarians. Highly recommended.

Had great lunch there yesterday. Tried the mince dumplings and the chicken and leek pie. Both were of a very high quality and quantity. Staff attentive but not intrusive. Will definitely be back soon.

It has just been reopened with new management. They really make you feel welcome. A good array of drinks on offer and Real Ale. Would definitely recommend as an alternative to your usual plastic pubs. Good food on offer as well.

Very friendly staff and a warm welcome. Showed to our table. We ordered drinks and a small x large Fish n Chips. They were fantastic with home made chips x mushy peas. 10 out of 10 and the plus side no signs of access grease. The best I have tasted in a while.

We have visited Killingworth Arms a few times in the last month for food. Each time the service and food have been excellent! Knickerbocker Glory is served with real whipped crean rather than (I think disgusting squirty cream : . Good value for mine too. Probably the best pub in the Killingworth area.

On Thursday for Steakabend. 2 steaks with chips mushrooms tomatoes. The best steak I've eaten for a long time. Chef knew his stuff explained Steak options. Only slight criticism did not come with sauce, but when we asked that it was made sauce. New management staff at the pub are great. Space looks much cleaner, lighter fresher.

fantastic pub it is one of the best in the northeast, it is a classic and stereotypical British pub that I like about the facility. carvery is loving on a Sunday, with him in the winter garden, good atmosphere in the pub with fantastic staff. the menu is basic, but eating is very delicious for a pud. I would go back as it is pleasant during Christmas. highly recommended.

Fantastic Pub it’s one of the best in the north east, it’s a classic and stereotypical British pub which I like about the establishment. Carvery is lovey on a Sunday with it being in the conservatory, good atmosphere in the pub with fantastic staff. The menu is is basic however the food is very tasty for a pud. I would go again during Christmas as it’s enjoyable. Highly recommend going.
