"We visit St Omer a couple of times a year while wine buying and we are working our way round the many restaurants, based on Trip Adviser reviews. This place is what Americans call a ma and pa establishement, with Cedric doing the magic in...the kitchen while his partner (Kate? look after the customers. We tried out our French on arrival and were greeted in native English, which is reassuring for anyone who struggles in French. The menu was reassuringly short and meat/fish based withour even a nod to vegetarianism, which is fine for us. We ordered guinea fowl and duck breast, both properly cooked, well presented and tasting delicious. The wine list is again quite short with nothing so cheap that it 's not good nor in the 100s of Euros either. For beer lovers there is a blackboard listing local speciality beers. All in all a lovely evening, thank you!"

Since the dogs were not tolerated, we went to the clear Marais. The restaurant "la belle epoque" is part of these rare establishments that refuse to welcome our faithful companions on four legs.

small restaurant with a retro charm and a fiery atmosphere. Mr. in the kitchen and madam in the hall. everything is perfect: the pleasant service, the cooked menu with passion. We're having fun!

Their is quite a choice of restaurants to choose from in Saint Omer but we choose this one based on reviews. Didn’t disappoint, food and service was first class. Lovely place.Prices very reasonable. Would definitely recommend

the frame: beautiful times, of course, with comfort, calm and bilingual service idoine. The dishes: fine egle medallion with the steroids may be a hair too spicy. Dessert: cream burned: perfect. one of the best ever tasted.Warning to use supplements in the menu.

Having made a reservation for 24/11/19 for dinner at 7pm which was confirmed by email, we arrived to find the restaurant closed and the telephone number given on their website to be no longer in use. No communication had been received from the restaurant to...warn us of this.

Delicious food in a typically romantic French restaurant. Lovely atmosphere, not rushed, extremely reasonable prices, very attentive staff, but not too pushy or intrusive. Just a wonderful evening, highly recommend a visit. If we return to St Omer, we will definitely go here again !

At the end of a full day of events in St Omer this was " the icing in the cake" I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. There is a concise menu and all of our dishes were cooked to perfection. The best meal we have had in France for many years and at a very reasonable price. We are just gutted that we cannot return this next week ( as they are closed on Monday and Tuesday) so it will be next year before we WILL return.
