"When we returned to our room for the evening around 11 pm the room smelled terribly of kitchen grease. There was no one at the hotel desk. We had a two night booking and the next morning I cancelled the second night only to be told that they would not refund me the room cost and that I should have asked to be moved (after 11 pm). I booked directly through the hotel so there was no reason to not refund me my payment for the second night. They essentially said it was my responsibility to notify them. Never mind that I spent a very unpleasant night there already (so sorry but it was apparently my fault). They offered me another room which I absolutely did not want to take as I was unhappy with their response. They did refund me my parking and taxes. I will not be staying at a Royal Hotel in the future. Reviews are overrated based on the level of customer service and I would also say not suitable for mature travellers."

We had a great experience with checkin. It was easy and clear. The room was incredibly clean, small but super cute! The receptionist was kind and professional. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back

Great hotel, really enjoyed our stay. Big spacious room tastefully decorated and with good nice bathroom. Would prefer a stand alone shower rather than one in the bath but would definitely stay here again. Perfect location and good bar down stairs.
