Family lunch with my husband and my three children. Fixed menu. excellent cuisine especially tortellini with truffle and lamb, never lost the recovery. impeccable service, very kind and attentive maid. We'll definitely come back.

excellent and genuine cuisine, it is immediately perceived that the manager points a lot on the excellent quality of the dishes proposed. The truffle is the master. friendly place and friendly staff. I recommend it as they did with me.

Menu fisso, ma mangi tutto se non ti abbuffi con la fantastica frittata al tartufo tartufo, e i formaggi e salumi fantastici la pizza al.formaggio ... poi ti porta i tortellini panna e tartufo e senti le sinapsi che festeggiano e iniziano a fare i cori .Roberta è molto brava e coraggiosa/ complimenti alla mamma e alla figlia che continua la nobile tradizione gastronomica. É un esperienza da fare, poi d'estate con la piscina prenotate tre giorni prima, io non ci sono ancora riuscito. Poi ora con la strada asfaltata , tutti a Macerino.

Un posto nel cuore dell’Umbria, dove godere dei sapori autentici di questa regione. Protagonista il tartufo e tante altre specialità fatte in casa che ci hanno fatto alzare dal tavolo molto soddisfatti e con la voglia di tornare presto! Cena a menu fisso con antipasto primo secondo contorno dolce fantastico, cucinato come da antica tradizione! Un’esperienza bellissima, tutto molto buono condito dalla cortesia e dalla simpatia di Roberta e di sua figlia: persone veramente squisite! Abbiamo cenato in veranda ma la location ha una bellissima piscina attrezzata per eventi e cerimonie… top!

We have eaten in La Fontana several times now and on each occasion it was amazing food. There is no menu, you get what is in season, and that is lovingly prepared. Be prepared for anywhere between 12 and 15 courses of the freshest, tastiest food in Italy. Leave room for the wine red and white arrives at the table (along with water) and is replaced as soon as a bottle becomes empty. Don't forget the limoncello or the grappa after the coffee. All for 25 Euro! Access to La Fontana in the Umbrian hilltop village of Macerino, (well worth a wander around) is interesting! We stayed in Macerino and this restaurant was a 5 minute walk from our house. We sat outside under the canopy and had a wonderful, rustic, true Italian meal. There was no menu, you ate what was cooked that day which was 5 courses of beautiful food. We had two bottles of wine included . First course was cold meats and focaccia with melon and a salsa, 2nd was a mushroom patè with omelette, then we had pasta with a cream sauce and truffles. Next was lamb and pork with a tiramisu to finish. We knew there was a lot to eat so held back from eating all the bread. It cost €25 euros each which included unlimited wine. The restaurant offers a single fixed price menu for 25 euros consisting of at least five courses. You eat what you are given and are never disappointed. Firstly anti pasti of salami, meats, cheeses and bruschette, then one or two primi such as pasta with truffles, then a couple of meat courses such as lamb cutlets and veal stew and finally the typical Italian desserts. Salads are offered as an optional extra. Included in the 25 euros is as much good wine, such as Rosso di Montefalco, as you like, plus bottled water. We have visited this restaurant twice, and can only express positive experiences. On each occasion, the food was fresh and regional, reflecting what was in season. The antipasti plates to begin were already groaning with small portions of cold food which was then augmented by further warm dishes. There were Potatoes that were so delicious and delicate that one could think that they were mushrooms; Proscuitto and Salame to have with melon, brushetta with tomato and brushetta with truffles; crisped pancetta on crotstini; omlette and grilled capsicum and zuchinni.
